How are the kirkland batteries. I always just ran the interstates from costco. Do the kirklands have the same warranty? 4.5 years?

They are good got set in Colbys 01.
That one on the bench is one the cane out of Katelyn’s dodge when we got it. It had mismatched batteries in it and one was no good. We got some ridiculously big tractor batteries in her truck now.

That one is low but it has been sitting around for a year. I’m charging it for Ratbag. If it doesn’t hold a charge i’ll get it replaced. I got 2 months full replacement time left.

I`ve been told Interstate makes the battery's for Costco.

Doing some reading. I didn’t buy that Kirkland so i got no receipt. Not going to get that one replaced. Darn! Lol!

If the date code on the battery is still under 36 months you don't need a receipt if you bought it and the date code was past the 36 months but you bought it less than 36 months ago then a receipt is needed to verify.
At least the stores here in California.

But... I didn`t buy that one,it came with the truck we bought. Googled some about returning batteries at Costco without a receipt, everyone said they can look it up on your Costco card.
Great if you cant find the receipt! I`m not going to wast anyone's time by even trying to replace it.
Had it on the tender overnight and I got a green light for GO now. I`ll test it later to see if it holds a charge.

Dean, what trans fluid do you run?
I was reading a thread from an Allison engineer that developed the fluid approval testing for Allison. He says the DEX VI isn't good for the 5 speeds and a few of the 6 speeds due to seal incompatibility. The TES-295 spec TranSynd fluid is compatible with all the 5 and 6 speeds. Here is a link if you have a couple days to read it...lol

I use DEX 6. never had a problem. That said use the tranSynd everyone will tell you to anyway! LOL! I also replied on your thread before I seen this.

Thought I had a rock in the back brake caliper, pretty comon actually. Nope! Piston on the drivers seized!
Had a fresh set of pads at home for it but had to get Kate to Uber me to town in her Dodge for a replacement caliper.
Second time that has happened on this truck. Albeit that one is a original. The other side has tons of pad left on them.
