May Rubicon trip

I'm wondering if they need to be replaced regardless. I've done bearings without races before but was that right? Or do they need to be considered a matched pair? hmm

edit, the bearings don't LOOK horrible but they seem sloppy. Also, a couple of them looked discolored, like a chalky brick color and oldly the rollers looked dry while the rest of the bearing was full of poo

Well technically the bearings wear the races in individually but if they look ok then you could use the bearings you have now. It sounds like the bearings are toast though so id get new ones and your suppose to do new races with new bearings. I haven't done races before but they are suppose to be easy to bang out and you can use the old ones to beat the new ones in.

And leave the races in the freezer for a few hours before installing them.

I've got some race punches and I did the set that's in the hubs now. Easy peasy, especially with an old set of races to help punch them in.

However, things just got serious. (going to start another thread for help)

That brings the suck!

Sweetk30 posted some good info in that other thread, Goodluck.

So are we looking to start another thread or change this one? How does June 12th weekend look to everyone?
