You guys are really hating on this guy. I guess that is what happens you you throw all on the line to try and make something of yourself...everyone hates you for it. I do not think he said $55,000 firm. His video said if he did some work on it he may get as much as $55,000 or less depending on how much he does on it, or what the demand is for it.

I did notice those front lift blocks, but I am sure Merrick knows about it, and they will get removed.

Merrick does not seem to have a huge ego like Gene Simmons of KISS or pop star Madonna. He seems like a pretty average guy.

Sure his ego doesn't appear like theirs, however. His is ego is over inflated far beyond his status. His comments/replies bare this truth, so does the blocking and removing comments.

I think this thread is a prime example of why you do not see Steve from ORD, or Kurt from DIY4X post on this forum anymore because one little comment taken the wrong way and everybody gets offended.

My bet is vendor silence is probably about not taking sides and just selling parts, that's the smart business position. If CK5 bothered or offended them they likely wouldn't renew their sponsorship / vendor status so as not to be associated with a problematic website.

he's obviously gotten butt hurt over people questioning this, and proceeded to back himself into a corner defending it.. I get it... many would do the same, and not realize they should maybe consider others opinions on the matter.. pssst, actual, informed opinions...

and that's where another problem lies.. I guess he's a decent ORD customer these days, gleamed all the CK5 info to now become the square expert.. the work we did here, Pirate, Steve, Kert, etc was a means to his success.. I don't remember you back in 05, etc...

than you can throw in, that it's apparent he is trying to take advantage of the recent stoopid truck market.. not that it's gonna improve much, but.... it shows true intentions... I would bet the farm he paid less than 10 g's for this rig... and the whole stealing a product idea for $$$$, not surprised after seeing this stunt...

obviously the whole "influencer" ego trip has probably gotten into his head somewhat... I sub'd cuz I'm always looking for new build, fab, etc channels... squarebody stuff? plus, I'm in... but trust me, I'm not looking to this guy for info on squares.. pretty sure I can create a better rig than this bolt-on builder... easy to delete him after this.. I think he may forget that many in his audience aren't noobs to squares..

It wasn't "one little comment" it is however, the tone of multiple comments and not even a hint of "well, maybe these guys are right"

Everyone is going to have an option. Stuff is worth what it will sell for. Bad attitudes suck. Not all of us agree on everything.
