Oh, and a good time was had by all yesterday! I towed my buddies' quads up there and we met up with some other people and had a great time.
Kandy Kane (that's my truck's name) is covered with mud, inside and out. She never let me down, though! We
almost got stuck in one deep mud hole but I just had to back up a couple times and try again.
She pulled a couple Heeps out of a huge mud ditch and tackled every obstacle I threw at her. She even "auto-clearanced" the front fenders, so I may not even have to hack them with a sawzall.
The only bad thing that happened (hat-over-heart) is that I let my concentration lapse and tagged a tree with the right front corner. Pushed the bumper back and wrinkled the fender. It was totally my fault. I told her I was sorry, so hopefully she's not mad at me. Honestly, I think the first trail scar gives her some character. She was almost too pretty before.
I'll post up some pics as soon as my friend sends them to me. I took my digital still and digital video cameras and took a grand total of one picture. Just having too much fun to stop for photos.
This is my one picture, taken pretty early in the day. The mud hole where I almost got stuck is just behind the truck, actually. It's funny... the whole field looks pretty benign but when one of the quads got stuck, the other guy was up to his waist in water and muck trying to help him get out!
