A HUGE thanks goes out to Dan on another forum... A little while back he PM'd me asking if I wanted any parts off of a motorhome he was scrapping...

I met up with him at his place and there was a lot of usable stuff... Asked him what I could pull off of it and what he wanted for it... He let me and my boys attack the thing and take whatever we needed for a bottle of whiskey...

Stopped by the liquor store on the way home and picked up a half gallon of Sailor Jerry's for trade and started tearing stuff out the next day...

Here's some pics of the goods, there's still a lot of small misc things I have in tubs from the motorhome...

Fresh water holding tank... This might be the one I end up using because of space...

A good size propane furnace with 3 vents/ducting...

Fuse box with a long heavy gauge shore power cable...

Double stainless sink with faucet and all the plumbing...

A bunch of water lines and copper propane lines for all of the appliances...

An RV aluminum ladder for the bunks...

And a ton more stuff...

I was messing around with google sketch up tonight and put my vision in 3D...

The galley is on the driverside... The driver seat and stairs are in the empty space at the front...

I just want to point out, that isn't a breaker box really, it is a power center complete with 110v to 12v power converter. If you wire it up right you can use all 12v lighting inside the vehicle, as well as everything else 12v and when you are connected to shore power or a generator, you will not need anything else. I love it in my little trailer, but I have to upgrade to a 30 amp unit like you have there, since the factory original one in my trailer is only 15 amp.

Very nice score for a bottle though, wish I could find a deal like that.

Nice design. Have you completely rejected having a full size bed? I have found no matter what I build eventually I always end up wanting a full size bed.

Yeah, I'll have to do some research to figure out how to wire it... I have another inverter that another guy gave me but not nearly as nice...

I may add a stripper pole to the deck up top later on...

As far as a full size bed goes, I drew up a bunch of floor plans... I don't want to block off the rear door and don't have much room... Behind the drivers seat I have 20' of usable floor space... also have to work around the wheel wells and keep all the plumbing on the driver side because the fuel tank is on the passenger side...

Things may still change, this is just the best floor plan option so far...

It is relatively simple, all 12v comes off the fuses, and the battery is tied into the 12v side of the box. 110 comes in from the shore and can be run to fridge, outlets, and anything else you want as long as you don't exceed 30 amps. Then, when power is plugged into 110, the box converts the power to 12v and still powers all your lights and other 12v stuff. It may have a built in battery charger as well, but without knowing the specific model I can't say for sure. It is much nicer than having 2 power systems and 2 different internal lighting systems.
