My 1996 SAS Suburban is back!

1996 silver Suburban
It's a 96 6.5td... there was nothing worth saving when it was installed at the factory lol.

Nice burb.

Remove all usable brackets and then scrapyard. There’s nothing worth saving after being open intake to the elements for the past nine or so years.
I agree with this.
Plenty of good engines still around, no need to revive a rusty anchor

Not saying the 6.5 was inherently bad. Just the years with the electronic injection.
Even with the best module and remote mount kit.

Go back a few years to the mechanical and all is well lol. :thumb:

12v is still better :D

Yeah but for the money, I can get a running 6.5td for $300-600, sometimes even with the truck.

I enjoyed my 6.2 when it was in my cucv. Wasn't fast and kind slow but it was nice to drive.
The turbo really wakes it up.
I drive my 6.2 turbodiesel as much as I can and I did drive my 6.5td for a few months until someone offered me $1800 for the engine so I sold it
