Remove all usable brackets and then scrapyard. There’s nothing worth saving after being open intake to the elements for the past nine or so years.Plans for the old motor?
I don't agree with thisIt's a 96 6.5td... there was nothing worth saving when it was installed at the factory lol.
Nice burb.

Yeah but for the money, I can get a running 6.5td for $300-600, sometimes even with the truck. Not saying the 6.5 was inherently bad. Just the years with the electronic injection.
Even with the best module and remote mount kit.
Go back a few years to the mechanical and all is well lol.
12v is still better![]()
The turbo really wakes it up.I enjoyed my 6.2 when it was in my cucv. Wasn't fast and kind slow but it was nice to drive.
Will a 4l80 live behind a 12v?The 4L80 in the burb
I disagree. My ‘00 crew cab is a beast. Best cooling setup and plenty of tuners out there to make them a lot of fun for a little money. My current setup beats my ‘03 Duramax off the line and then holds a truck length until about an 1/8th mile, then the Duramax catches up and passes. You drop the heat soaking factory turbo for something that builds cooler boost, and you really start to see what these can do.The 6.2 is awesome.
It's the electric 6.5 that sucks lol.
