My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Maybe.... :dunno:

Any engine that sits for a year, or more, should be gone through in my opinion. :D
Had I not gone through this one, I'd have had an overheating big block.

Now I should have a relatively reliable one. :D

Paint-dragged/airbrushed with a custom Brown. (One Shot paint.)

well now that is different.....

What made you decide to do that?

good call on cleaning the block out, perhaps it just had water in it last, that will rust like bare metal in a Michigan road salt pile! Did you change water pumps?

What is that metal piece clamped onto the front of the pass header?

And as far as a 427, you already have the rotating assy..., just find a 454 block.

Well.... I saw a Skyline GT-R that had the valve cover "hydro-dipped" woodgrain.
I thought it was the coolest sh*t! :pimp::haha:
And, it looks sexy.

The truck has the classic/patina look, and it's a sleeper.
So, in keeping with the sleeper theme,
I wanted the engine to kinda 'hit you' when I popped the hood.
But, not "gawdy"...

Like a tie that pushes the boundaries, accompanying a classic, black suit.

I'm gonna leave the "known good" pump on there.
Logic being, that if some rust kills it, I want it to be a "free" pump... Not my high flow. :thumb:

I have no gawdamn clue what that metal deal is... Might cut it off.

I have a plan.... It's a secret, tho.
Not worth talking about, until it happens.

...you need to open a shop...you're that damn good.:bow:

Thanks, man... :waytogo:

I think I'm good enough to do custom stuff for people;
But, I'm just average in the auto-art community.

I'm the "impress your friends" kinda good.
But, most artists clown on me... :haha::pimp:

That's not to say, that lesser "artists" haven't been more confident...

Just seen your Facebook page. Looks rad Mike!!

Thanks.

With a patina-truck, you only get a few places to "go crazy"...
So, the engine is matte black, but the valve covers are super custom.
The outside will be factory, but the interior is gonna be fully customized and up-to-date.

The inside will be mainly black, with the dash/door paint remaining the factory gold.
The bench will be black with brown piping/accents, to match the black/gold/wood interior.

Just yer average Tuesday, at the Randall household... :haha:

That black tubing, is Fire-Proof wire loom... It's Asphalt coated. :D

Ran all the wires... Plugged the extra firewall holes, too.

Gonna start attaching the new connectors, tomoro.
I'm gonna try to have the motor/trans in by Friday night.

I've been busting my A$$, to get this driving! :woot:

LED Courtesy lights are in.... :D

The kind that light the ground up, when the door is opened.
It's the little things that make me happy. :D
