My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

If you know several people running them fine then they probably will be fine :dunno: my buddy who used them is the only person I know that has used them and it just didnt work for him. Also his where on top of the axle yours are under the axle idk if that could be a big difference maker? :dunno:

The Torque Point is mainly in the U-Bolt, is all I'm sayin'.
I'm gonna run 'em.... If the ass end falls out, you guys can say, "I told you so."

Look at the set up, you can see how the torque would try to "close the angle", like an alligators mouth,
As opposed to your friends setup, that wants to "open" the angle.

In addition, the Trailing arms are gonna do their job, in translating that torque to forward motion.

Yea, never.... :haha:

I've essentially been FLAT BROKE.
That's why I spent $20 on CLR and Scotch Brites... Cuz I can't afford anything else. :doah:

I still have to buy, a shifter, a kickdown assembly, a speedo gear and wire, some hoses, an air filter, the brake master cylinder, brakelines, and the related clamps, etc.

So,I'm very close... Just BROKE.

I've already put a sh*t ton more money into it, Than I initially thought I would.
Because it was essentially a truck, and a motor.
I've built it from there, so, yeah.... If I Had the $$$ this **** would be running mid-13's, on a full tank.
But, unfortunately work is non-existent currently, and I have bills.

So, yeah.... It'll run when it runs.
And, don't forget all the gawdamn parts I ordered FOR THIS MOTOR, that were wrong.

Well I still have the auto steering column with all the rods an links.
I do have a kick down pedal and switch.
the truck had good functioning power booster and master.
Hoses are cheap.
What other excuse are you gonna make.
You create those issues because you cannot leave well enough alone.
You want to have a build that never ends more than a truck that runs.
Oh and you can run without a speedo but I have the gear and cable too even though the truck had a functioning cable.

Lots of builds exist to be built and never to actually run. Heck, I have two trucks like that :haha:

Actually, atm, they're both running and can move, but that's mostly 'cuz it's been too hot for me to out and break them. Err, I mean "work on them", that's it :surepal:

But I do gloss over status updates to CK5 as to their running-ness and how often that isn't. I'm debating adding to my signature "HYBRID POWER: sometimes their own, sometimes the tow truck" :doah:

Said another way, sometimes it's not about the end result, but the path to get there. (Wow, Garth, that was a haiku. :D )

those blocks will be fine for now.. leaf spring suspensions are where the issues come up. your set up they'd last forever. I'd retighten the U bolts once a month for the first couple months to keep it all snug though

I can't see your stupid pics but..... Take the rectangle tubing cut to size. Add a peice of 1/4in flat bar diagonally inside the rectangle tube and weld it in. Then cap the sides and it would be bulletproof and cheap.

Or use the 4in blocks I have sitting on my bench in the garage and make it MOAR LOWER Up to you:haha::haha:

I've noticed... with myself first, then others;
That the fullsize 4x4 community assumes everything has to survive MASSIVE ABUSE.

But, in regards to 2WD, we're actually overcompensating for a problem that isn't there. :dunno:
It's quite the learning curve for me.

The phrase "that doesn't need to be that Beefy", has never been used toward me before. :haha:
Until I bought a 2WD.

Iceman do you regret selling him that truck? its just as bad as the k5 imo now.

WTF?

Are you serious?
You have to be trolling, right?
Who says sh*t like that?

IF I HAD THE ****ING MONEY, IT WOULD BE DONE.
IF I HAD THE MONEY IT WOULD BE DONE....

IS IT CLEAR YET.?

It's all about money.... I don't have it.
I'm broke, I'm poor, I have no money....

It's not projects, it's not side-stepping.... I DONT HAVE THE MONEY.

Will you guys stop acting like I DONT want this to be done?
I mean f*ck.... I get why Paul bitches people out.
It gets gawdamned old, fast.

I spend $20 on some DIY drop blocks, and everyone's like,
"OMG.... Yer never gonna get done!!!!!"

I started with a Non-Running, barely bolted together, truck 6-months ago....
S where I am now, ain't half-bad, IMO.

I can see both sides of it. On one side, get the thing moving! It'll keep motivation up.

On the other side, it's come a HELL of a long way. He'll work at his own pace as time and money allows - don't like it? Too bad! Don't **** on someone's project.
