That's awesome. I really regret wheeling mine. I wish I just would have gotten it and not ****ed with it. But I was 17 after all... I just remember how incredibly clean and smooth and quiet it was when I first got it. Oh well...

I regret the body lift and swampers. The truck felt so much tighter before. I'm working towards changing all that now.

I am not sure how I never saw this thread before. Went to the beginning and read the whole thing.

I know the TBI is long gone, but if you ever have another one, if you hold the throttle pedal to the floor, it enters CLEAR FLOOD and won't fire the injectors.

Also, after i shut it off from this video then tried to re start it, i had to unplug the injectors cause it was so flooded!

Obviously, the biggest reason for taking the burb is so i can stick a mattress in the back and we can sleep mostly in the truck. With maybe a couple few hotels along the way so as to be able to shower here and there.

You can shower at a truck stop, or most state parks.

Im still trying to figure out how much time i need to actually figure on it taking. Im not sure if i can do it in 9 days or if it needs to be more like 16 days or somewhere in between. But i will do my best to take lots of pics and document my journey the way mosesburb does.

Check out my '90 K5 build thread. Taking my buddy Joe along was the best idea, even if he couldn't drive.

I would want to stay in a hotel room occasionally just to occasionally get the comforts of home...I think....while I could deal with sleeping in the truck, the wife would probably appreciate the hotel...

That's pretty much my thoughts. I could do just fine showering at truck stops. Her, I'm sure she will want at least a hotel shower every couple /few days.

Only took me all night to figure out that hooking cruise up on these trucks after a ls swap is a cake walk.

Basically, this is the old cruise module which is vacuum operated.

It has a series of pins on it. The pinouts for which follow is diagram.

This is an ls cruise module which is fully electronic.

Notice it also has a connector. It follows this "diagram which I found on another site.

The two diagrams are basically identical. So, you should be able to just splice the wires, and be done!

Aperently almost everything GM from 96 until drive by wire uses this module so there is millions of them in junk yards. So there you go!

Got my window motors today. They are Dorman units. Dnt know how they work yet, but i was excited to see that they were indeed 100% brand new and look more stout than stock.

Here's some window motor pics for fun. You can see they have a cast gear housing which should make them a tougher unit than the stock all stamped units.
