My build-DOWN thread...

Thanks! I'm really happy with the way things are going. I'll finish up the loomaand get the engine cover on tomorrow!

Ordered a water pump from rock auto. Pulled the old one off today. It was leaking bad out the weep hole.

Water pump in and done. Truck runs great! So good that I decided to use it to move the trailer. Had to move the trailer so I could get the burb out of the driveway. Sounds funny but that's a nice milestone! For it to no longer require driveway parking to do most of the rest!

Awesome!
So that little line coming out of the bottom of the throttle body is a steam line? Was wondering what that is for on Brett's buggy the other day.

Basically. At the throttle body it's just a pass through. Goes from the steam port, through the throttle body and to wherever. I chose to put mine in the water pump.

It's supposed to keep the throttle body from icing. Not a big deal for most people. So on his buggy, I would probably just bypass it. Supposed to be important in Super cold clim ates at Highway speed.

I should have the burb basically done and road worthy by the end of this weekend. Getting pretty excited!

so which one are you taking on your long trip?

The burb! Cant wait! Still have a decent amount of stuff i want to get done before i go but i have about a year still.

Interior is pretty well put together for now. All I have to do still is get a stereo. It's far from "done" but to the point where I can drive it for a few months and then go after things like the head liner, carpet, etc.

Also I did the 4 front speaker mod. So I have 6 speakers total. They are still too small to sound real good but it does get louder now.

I thought about throwing in another speaker or two but passed on it. Glad to hear you'll have her back on the road.

Looks great!

Glad you've got it back on the road.

Also, glad i didnt' try and do a LS swap in a weekend.....
