I got these do it yourself beadlocks from cyberfire. I am in the slow process of welding the inner rings (work and only having 1 spare to use while tire is off truck) on and the outer rings are at the powder coaters as we speak. But wanted to start a thread on how they have progressed from raw steel to what they will be. This has been rather inexpensive to as I got the plates for a little over 200$ rims were free and the powder coating was 32$ for the outer plates, still have to get the bolts I figure 20$ for those, so 252$ for 4 beadlocks that look badass isn't bad. So on to the pics, check back as updates will be coming.

Backyard, they look great.

Kert,
I think I will need to contact you when I get ready to fab my set of Rockwell wheels.

Re: My cyberfire built beadlocks UPDATED NEW PICS!!!!!!!!!

Maybe instead of "ripper" they should be called "Those annoying stick and twigs that get in your wheels eater"

Seriously though. They look fantastic. Now I want a set!

THEBIGDADDYOF2 when your ready lets hook up.

Those points are going to eat your hands if you ever need to change a spare with the old 4 iron /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: My cyberfire built beadlocks UPDATED NEW PICS!!!!!!!!!

They look it but they aren't all that sharp. There is also quite a bit of space inside there to work with.

Backyardbuilt, got any on the rig yet?

Re: My cyberfire built beadlocks UPDATED NEW PICS!!!!!!!!!

Very cool. With those, do you have to cut off the bead on the rim? Or do they weld to the bead as it sits?

Mike

Re: My cyberfire built beadlocks UPDATED NEW PICS!!!!!!!!!

No need to cut the rim. Just weld them right on. That is one of the benefits of this system. The bead surface is retained as sort of a redundant backup.

This is where this ripper design really shines. If you wanted to you could put the tire back to its original location on the rim. Put all your bolts back in the holes and end up with a nice looking simulated beadlock. Then whenever your ready, move the tire back out and reinstall the lock ring. Not saying you would want to do this on a regular basis because that's a lot of bolts to be taking out and retorquing. Just saying you could. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
