as for the buggy, why keep just the firewall and not just sell the cab as a whole to make some funds and build it all from tube?

Well the k10 is a California truck.... And we are jus keeping part of the firewall for the brakes and steering column and somewhat of the dash. And as a start for the floor. But the cab has some rust through the floor but overall it's not that bad. We yanked the bed and are trying to sell it. It's a little rough around the wheel wells but in good shape if someone wants to buy it. And we started cutting, I'll try to get some pictures of it.
But we need to start getting se DOM tubing and a bender and start the cage. What material works good to mock up a cage?
Also! Yes leafs all the way around. 52s all around for now. We were talking about 63s and 56s but we are using what we have for now.

Here's the cab a little cut up....
We are gonna cut the windshield off later, after we get the tubing cause we want to have some sort of basis for the cage lines.

The cab doesn't look like it was in bad shape at all doesn't appear to be rusty. Much better shape than mine. (Sad face)

Haha we are waiting to get tubing bender and some tubing. How thick of DOM tubing should we get if we go for 1.75? Or 2 inch? And we haven't done too much this week, kinda not much to do just yet. We need the motor and tube first.

Well I know updates are few and far between. But what can I say? I'm a broke 19 year old that works full time and has a girlfriend...
Anyway, we got the motor for it mostly ready. Nothing fancy, just a rebuilt 350. We can't find a set of the block side of the motor mounts anywhere though. Other than yanking them from the junk yard. Anyone know where to buy a new set? Other than the HD solid ones.
In other news, I bought a new tank for the bike and painted it green:
Also I went to pismo for the weekend in the Jimmy. Lets just say 20 year old bias ply tires that are a little too wide for the rim aren't the best for a 150 mile trip. But it made it, with an astounding 11 Mpg! But she did great in the dunes, despite open diffs
And sorry for the huge pictures! I'm using a phone and I'm not sure how to resize them in the app

Well it's been a while. But the Jimmy is still kickin. I joined the Navy so it was a little hard for me to do much being halfway across the country. But since the last update much has happened.
I got new tires and rims. 35 bfg all terrains with 15x10 8 stud wheels. It then sat in storage for 6 months or so - 28ft semi trailer. I'm now stationed in San Diego and drove it down. I bought another bike - 2010 BMW f800gs. I got a sweet 'new' hardtop with a good hatch off CL for 500$. Put a bronco back seat in it. Found a toolbox size that fits perfect behind the seat. Just got done doing crossover steering. Made some shift knobs out of aluminum. Uh I think that's kinda it. I'll toss in some pictures as well but the progress should continue!
