My Junkyard build......York mount made

Thanks! Today I solved what Im gonna do to cover the fender area that I cut for the tilt hood. I have a pair of old fenders that Im gonna cut out a 2" piece of the same area as I did for the tilt hood. Then it's a matter of welding that piece to the tilt hood part of the fender so that when its closed it will overlap the stationary part of the fender.

You got plans for those Cheyenne30 emblems?

Movin' this thread to my build thread.... sooorrry

This turned out bitchin'. Cant wait to get it installed.... or on second thought maybe Ill just hang it above my bed.... lol

It's beautiful!

But you have to partially disassemble it to mount on the intake. Will the clearcoat crack?

Good idea! Ill do that just in case. Should be fine because the gasket is in place. To answer your question about the paint guy, yes he does full paint jobs. Here is a vid of some of his work. http://www.myspace.com/nolimitcustompaint I got his # from a local tattoo shop I didn't even know about the vid till after the work was done. Good thing cuz I prolly woulndt have called him because I woulda thought he would have been too high in $ lol.

Well time to get my lazy butt. Here's an update after being on hiatus due to wife being in nursing school and such. Decided against TPI and going with TBI. Bought a used 350, put new cam/lifters and seals. Decided to leave heads alone, time will tell how that pans out. Decided to go with 465/AtlasII Hydro set up. Dropped assembly in Sun. It was fricken easy since I was able to remove the tilt hood. Dropped in as whole unit.

I used ORD cross member and DIY4X4 mounts. They were easy to install for the most part. The mounts didnt quite line up with each other and because they are poly, they were pretty much unwilling to be "moved into place. What I did was install drivers side mount first and left all bolts loose in order to move the mount as much as possible. That left the passenger side mount hole off by about 3/4". I installed the mount to the engine. I then used 1.5" bolts to attach the mount to the frame. I tightened the bolts which pulled the passenger side down to the frame. That was the only way I could think of to get it all lined up. Im thinking the frame was/is bent a bit. Everything looks and measures equal on both sides so I think I'm good. Time will tell.

Cool build! Kinda dissapointed you're not using that sexy TPI set up thought...

Today I woke up with the intention of pulling body off and adding some 1" 5/8 .120 wall tubing to the frame for more support. I ended up cutting 7" from the bottom of the driver side door so I can boat-side it. :chainsaw: I need to stay focused lol

Feels good to get back to it. Wife was in RN program so I had to put on back burner. I picked up some parts here n there though ") but don't tell her that.
