Nice gabe! How did you hook up with the blue chevy? I met him and his Brother down at river Rock, nice fellas. How did you do up there?

hey gabe, do you have close up pics of the sides behind the front seats? i have my driver rear fender that got bashed into a tree pretty hard and i'm planning on removing the back side like you did.

His screen name on Pirate is Chevyboat... he contacted me when he moved from Cali to Georgia to find a new club. It was his first time at tellico and he had to learn about wheel speed and east coast wheeling.

Ill see what I can find... Funny thing is I looked at your rig repeatedly while trying to decide what to do with mine... lol, I have always liked the way yours looks. I even have a stick of DOM sitting in the shop that was supposed to protect my front fenders like yours.

great stuff!
if i had to do it again i would leave off the side tubes just for the fact that when i have to replace the fenders it's gonna be a PITA.

this is how my wife left it after she slammed it into a tree. :haha:http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/albums/album611/DSC05127.sized.jpg not too bad.

i've been wanting to remove them for a while and that gave me a good reason to. :D

here is the moment that determined that it was time to remove my rear fenders... Coming down upper two in tellico there is no backing up.

I thought it was Sunday morning the 14th of December, but it might have been later Saturday the 13th. I was with Clemson Offroad, we went for a ride cause we had just finished exams.

I think it was late saturday the 13th... If I remember correctly you guys asked us for directions right when we came off trail 4 onto trail 1... when Mcrackin and I were putting on our goggles and gloves for the 30deg ride to the paystation with no windshields.

More updates... I decided to finally tie in the front end to the cage. I am mocking up some fenders right now before I cut my good ones. What do you guys think?

I also redid my power steering setup since I have gone through a bunch of pumps. We decided that one of the reasons the pumps were burning up was due to the reservoir being on the back of the pump. So I swapped out for this style, it is off an 87 van with a 6.2L, the same style that the aftermarket ones use. I made a res with pvc and some fittings, I still have to fab a bracket to hold it. I also added a cooler so hopefully I will have good luck with it in Moab.
