My new build...the "me too" short Crew Cab ~UPDATE~ not selling it

Wish I would have gave that a shot before hacking mine to bits, Im tempted to take a trip to the wrecking yard now, as I spotted 2 spotless fenders last time I was there.

Great work btw

4 Link YESSS!!

Wish I could get away from this site while I'm at work...
I'm the boss so I won't fire me.:haha:

Builds like this are too distracting!

There are toooo many cool builds going on!!
This thread has been added to the list of builds I can't get enough of!!

Would you humor me with some details of the 4 link setup??

Thanks for the compliment.
The 4 link rear is dual triangulated with .25 wall 2.0 DOM links and 1.25 heims.
16" Kings and about 22 inches of travel with no axle steer.
Hope it works as good as it looks...

Impressive to say the least!!
Thanks Odin!

Would I be asking too much for tube lengths?
More detail Pics??
Spring rate would be totally different for my Sub as it has more factory metal still over it.

Link lengths are 39" uppers and lowers.
Im at work too... But can take more detailed pics tomorrow.
What in particular did ya want pics of?

4 link

I've seen some nice and some "git'er done" front mounts and cross-members.

If it's not too much trouble.

Curious how others are doing it because I have a tendency to overbuild.

Never had the luxury before to be able to chat with so many like minded people that share similar visions...

Truck is looking great Vinny  can't wait to see it in person.......what do ya think..spring RC run ???

Upper link mounts at the frame.
Welded to the 2x3 crossmember and gusseted to the frame.
Lower mounts welded to the bottom of the frame rail and angled inward.

nice link setup! just in materials alone what do you think that link setup in the rear cost to make, not including shocks/springs

$600 is about right to link the rear.

Maybe less if you score the heims from the classifieds here or on Pirate.
Thats where I got most of them.

Motivation has been at an all time low...
Work has been Slow for the past 4 months barely making enough to cover the bills, so no money to buy parts.
Not to mention the weather has been cold.
Sorry for the rant

No need to say your sorry. Between the weather and lack of funds everyone understands the delay. NP Vinnie.

Well progress has gone from slow, to a standstill...

****ed up my finger. Severed a tendon and required surgery.
Doc says 12 weeks recovery, physical therapy etc.

Looks Nasty!!!

Working with steel day in and day out, I've been there too! (no tendon damage though):doah:

Wife knows when I ask her for fishing line needle and a thimbol its obvious what I'm up to.

Look after yourself Sir!!
For selfish reasons we need to see your build continue...:D

At work. Working flat-rate 100+ MPH all day long finally caught up to me...

Was cutting open an engine mount box, caught the edge of the box and the blade closed on my finger. Was still applying force on the knife while the blade was trying to sever my finger. Noticed blood on my toolbox and finally stopped to see the damage to my finger.
