I've got a power washer at home so that'll take care of the dirt. And will all new gaskets there should be NO oil leaks. Believe me there will be plenty of RTV used with the gaskets.

I'll second that. I have had one in my truck for over 3 years. I've had the pan off quite a few times for one reason or another, and the gasket still seals like new. The little blue holder studs work great when you are pulling the pan with the engine in the truck.

Definately agreed, I have one on my 305 and have had zero oil pan leaks.
Definitely wrap it up in a garbage bag, to keep the moisture out too. Nice dry heat is your friend. Got a spare bedroom?

My buddy had a frod 347(or what ever it came out to be) in the living room of his apartment and a 4'X3' pile of parts in the dining room. Not much else. He had his priorities right.

My desktop compcams thingy says 412hp @ 5500 and 443tq @ 4000 with the Patriot Performance Vortec heads. I can get 450hp if I with the AFR Eliminators but for almost $1k more. To me the Patriots are the best bang for the buck. $630 for the pair can't be beat.
And no I didn't build it in my living room. Since its sitting i was going to put it in my room but my engine stand is too wide to fit into my door...
and I didn't have the time to continue to mess with it. Oh well I'll be sure to bar it over several times. But what I did do was drop my truck at the body shop that is spraying my bed to redo the cracked windshield and the bubbling A pillars. So it should be all done when i get back and all I have to do is get an inspection sticker to be 100% street legal again. I just want to be able to drive my truck again, my s10 is a champ but its nothing compared to the big guy.
any progress on that 355 man?
Haha, I wish... But its kinda hard since I am on the other side of the world right now... There will be more updates come March.

I agree that Patriot makes the best product for the $$. I run the BBC heads but my machinist was very skeptical until he got them in hand and actually saw they needed VERY little clean up-- less than most higher priced versions he deals with. Great product and price !

Thanks I'm on a ship anchored in Diego Garcia, basically the middle of the Indian Ocean.
And ya I am excited to order those heads when i get back home.
