) between the trees in the small section, I couldn't back up and if I went too far foward I would have hit another tree, so my only option was to turn right, however, since the tire was wedged and I still have the stock steering setup, I couldn't turn the wheels at all. So the dents are actually from the idiots in the car behind me who got out and pushed against my fender as I tried to turn and they ended up getting me out of there but left me with 2 dents...
Ouch Glenn, big timeWell I've been doing some wheelin and I ended up beating the truck a little harder than I wanted to... Sorry no action shots, but I have aftermath shots:
My tires absolutely ate my fenders:

My core support has continued to fall apart...

Also I have 2 dents in my driver side fender![]()

And last but not least, a massive crack in the engine cross member:

Ok so a break down of the damage:
In order to continue down this trail, I had to traverse some very deep ruts that were eroaded away from water runoff. So of coarse the tires go straight into the fenders... The guy behind me go high centered on the ruts too.
The core support has gotten worse since I last posted. I believe that if I continue to run it one of two things can happen: the radiator falls off and goes straight into the fan, or the thing splits in two... The fenders got dented because my driverside front wheel got wedged against a log on the ground and since it was very tight (wink wink) between the trees in the small section, I couldn't back up and if I went too far foward I would have hit another tree, so my only option was to turn right, however, since the tire was wedged and I still have the stock steering setup, I couldn't turn the wheels at all. For the crack in the engine cross member, it was probably there before, I just happened to notice it now. I plan on doing the ORD solution for it:

So I have some work I have to do...

sorry to hear what happened. its still a nice truck. no matter what happens to it..i might have a core support for ya...
Tom
Dont you mean Gigity? lol sorry had to.since it was very tight (wink wink)

Glenn, I have an extra DS side fender too, just has a small dent near the grill area, but nothing that can`t be fixed easily with a hammer/dolly. Let me know. I need to find out where we can meet still.Actually Bigblaze has got one for me, along with all the final brake parts needed for me to convert a 14bsf to 6 lug. Now, I just need the axel itself...
I don't know what I'm going to do about the dents. I can't get to it from the backside to just tap it back out, and since I've never really done dents before, I'm kinda lost. I may just bring it back to the body shop that did the paint. I also really want to do a cowl induction hood. Probably fiber glass because its lighter and the factory hood is freakin heavy! Suggestions for a hood?
Also since I didn't replace my rear bed fenders when I did all my body work, they are getting a little rough as far as the inside lip that mounts to the bed sides. I'd like to relace them, the only problem is that other than LMC I can't seem to find them really. Any suggestions to where I can find them?

do not go fiberglass!!
its less than perfect and needs final prep to be ready for paint,
ive installed and painted 4 cowl hoods that were metal and loved it,
the 1 fiberglass one I ended up selling. find a better place to save some weight.
