little update. i finished the sliders up theyre all tied into the frame and everything. have the section for the drivers side floor ready to go in and after that all i have to do is fill a couple small holes in the floor and its good. after that ill throw in the interior stuff, drivers side door, finish wiring and get it running:D. after that all ive got to do is adapt my cab for later style hood hinges paint everything then ill put the fenders and hood on. then its on to the flatbed ill get some pics of stuff soon

Looking good. But I think I would have looked for a better cab to use.You are in Cali. That's alot of rust for Cali.

ya i know it but the pickup with cab sm465 205 and 14 bolt f/f and crappy 10 bolt was only 250 so i had to take it. i guess it ended up being only 160 becaue i scrapped the crap sheetmetal, frame and all the crap for 90 bucks. so i didnt really care about the rust

got the floors done:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:Dfinally now i can actually put some effort into some other stuff anyways heres pics

i figured out what the sockets were thanks to guys on pirate.....really disappointed in you guys:crazy: but anyways they were to the ignition switch that was not even present in the truck so i figured out what all the wires were and got the engine to turn over:D:D:D im really excited to connect everything to my kragen ign switch and get it started all the wiring now worked great breaks blinkers coil everything its all coming together!!!!

no never heard of it but that looks sweet. id be up to take my blazer to that. whats going on with your truck?
I just redid all my suspension and been doing a bunch off other little stuff. Got rid of the lift springs in the back for a homemade flip, pulled a leaf and added a shim up front. Just waiting on a 1350 yoke for the 60 and it will be good to go again

My sbc started up not too long ago after the rebuild, so I can definitely relate to that feeling haha.

I've always found with small block chevys that if you have gas in the tank and a hot battery, it will start and run no matter how long it has sat. (Unless the rats chewed through too many wires...) My old engine hadn't run for 5 or 6 years and it cranked up just fine.

i did some work today i got the instrument panel wired and everything is up and goin the gas gage and temp gage etc all work. so im pretty much done wiring the truck besides the stereo tac. windstar fans and light bar, which to me is all the easy stuff because its fully custom wire no guess and check with the factory crap.

Did you just use factory gauges? Looking forward to see how you do all your switches and stuff, I am not crazy about how mine is set up right now.

yes i used the factory gauges i didnt see the point in blowing the money for auto meter stuff when i had a fully functional cluster sitting on my bench. but ill buy an auto meter tach for sure and for the switches i got rid of the heat a/c panel and put a ignition panel there and im also putting a panel where the vent came out directly above the heat a/c panel for lights fans and my mojave heater. what gauges are you using?
