I will start on GM Thursday. Any interest in Hummer or asking the US Army to attend?

July 2007 works for me. I still am planing a trek out west this year.

July 2007

Anytime in July works for me!!

How about asking Vic Edlebrock, a lot of us use his product, and a 4 wheel magazine wouldn't hurt either.
I like the plaque idea, nice item to add to the collection.

Summer works, even more time to get myself together!
How about 4 wheel parts? Do they do things like that?
Maybe they could haul up a trailer of new 60s-90s C/K truck/suv parts for us. Would be usefull if one of us should break something that we cant fix ourselves.

I think we should get a poll on how many people would go before we go contacting sponsors, It could turn out to be a pissy trip and only get 10 wheelers.

And sure, Hummer! But we still dont know how big it will be, if we get sponsors we need to go about advertising the event..

OK guys I am talking to Chris at CRB Off Road about coming he makes bumpers and light bars for 4x4s you can check out his company's web site at http://crboffroad.com for some of his work and more info. This guy is one hell of a nice guy to deal with.

We also need to figure out the porta john vs rig ratio..need a certain ammount of crappers or else youll find most of the trees and brush around the campsite will be gone by monday.

Were going to have our own porta crappers. Should also think about having a few bottles of GERM-X outside the crappers. the big bottles that kind of resemble big ketchup bottles.

I think if we get abig enuff group maybe one at each of the bigger camp sites should do but it all depends on how many come. That would be a later on item.

If anyone works at a restraunt where they get fryer grease and have room maybe they could save a few of the 5 gal jugs to put cleaning water in?
Would have to let them drain out good first. I invited the guys from the upper N.E. area to join us also.

Are we going to invite local 4 wheel clubs or are we staying just CK5ers? Jim

We are going to have to open it up to everybody if we want a good turn out.

Let's get a date for it!!! You need that before going after sponcers.

I thought we were pretty well set as July 2007. We just need to nail down a date. It is a public place so we can't keep others out. I am trying to mainly focus on K5s though. Yes I know the more the merrier But close your eyes...*they're not closed! OK you are on the road with :k5: :k5: :k5::k5: :burb: :crewcab: or more Big Blazers and stop for gas. The pubs look at you all and start asking questions. You get a swelling of pride and the envy of the other guys. Yes you too can have that feel. Smiling... :D

I would like to throw out a virginia location. It is in cartersville virginia, it is a private property with a track, mud bog and a hill with camping. Anything can happen as long as your safe. they have several rallys a year. their webisite is below. We could probably get a all chevy weekend if we asked nice.

Shock Thank you for the input. The web site does not tell us anything about the place how many trails what types. Have you been there to OD4c? If so please give us more information. Rausch has many trails and is a very large area so it has easy trails for basic drivers and extreme trails for the insane (jk).

The park is divided into two parts, based on the topography of the area. A key feature of the west property is a large glacial deposit, called the “Rock Creek”. The deposit begins within a few feet of a main access road and extends over 1800 feet. At its widest point, the deposit is over 150 feet wide. The boulders that litter the area are large, and packed close enough together that only a handful of trees have proven sturdy enough to survive in the area. The deposit has been providing entertainment for the larger vehicles that venture into the park and has proven to be a challenge to the best drivers and spotters.

Can we get an official date planned and get a mod. to stick this at the top of the forum?

How does July 13 - 15, 2007 weekend sound we set it for Saturday and if anyone wants they have Friday night to party and on Sunday have a cookout before heading back?

Input guys I will contact forum mod to see about posting an official notice.

The place is mainly for competition mud bog, drag racing and hill climbing. Not too many trails so i am guessing it is not a great site for what you want to do. Sorry. But they are available for private affairs.
