Im going to HF after work to pick up some tracks and accessories.
I fixed the first carnage from last year, the broken tailgate latch. I also replaced the handle screws. Whoever decided Phillips head screws were needed there...

Winch mounting day. Installing the Engineered Vintage behind the bumper mount in the low, upright configuration. This requires cutting into the core support for winch clearance, but it is the strongest way to go without the winch hanging down exposed. I still need to finish the wiring, control box, and fairlead.
Interesting to see the low mount set up. I'll be removing mine in favor of the ord bumper
I fixed the broken headlight adjuster while I'm in there as well, then worked on wire routing and clearance for the fairlead.
I also realized I didn't need to cut up the lower valance after the winch made it in place, so I dug out a spare and did a quick scuff and painted it with CARC green.
I will send you some pics and warnings for your instructions on this mounting orientation. I think it is the best install orientation for a wheeler, but probably not a nice truck.

I started off the day helping the wife, but finally made it into the shop this afternoon.
Knocked out mounting the winch control box onto the lower valence, then realized it was too flimsy without the center support, but I hacked that up in the first pass of the install before I had the winch in the final spot. So I grabbed a spare and with a little clearance for the winch, mounting tab relocated, and a new mounting hole in the core support, it is solid.
I had to shorten a couple bolts to mount the winch plate to the brackets as they would hit the winch motor.
The next issue was the winch control box ended up in the way of the brush guard. I'm running short of time, so I'm leaving the brush guard off for now.
Then there are the bumper bolts, the winch blocks access for my tools to tighten the nuts, so I swapped out the carriage bolts for hex heads as there is still enough room to hold the nut with a wrench reaching in through the grill opening and tighten the bolt from the outside.
Installing the grill was next, but the control box now blocks that. Removing the bridge plate gave me just enough room to get it in though.
Then I tossed on a couple extended bump stops, they came with course thread studs and fine thread nuts, but I had the correct nuts on hand.
