gratz on the purchase man! I'm in SLC myself so it's good to have another 1st gen guy nice and close. :)
Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

Thanks I just got the half top last weekend just for the rainy days and on floor repair Im thinking pretty soon.

Nice rig. Welcome to the site.

What do you plan to do with it mostly?...weekend cruiser, wheeler, dd, etc?

Good luck with those rust repairs! Also, what engine, etc, is in your jimmy?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I want to restore it almost to factory but still be able to take it wheeling. As of february it has been my daily driver not becuase it has to be but because I love every minute driving it. it has a 350 with and edelbrock intake and carb with the 4speed.

Not sure how I missed this the other day. Welcome! Good luck with the rust repairs. We'll be your support group through that fun:doah:

With that floor.... I would chop it all out and do plate for the whole thing.

Thanks I might end up doing that I have a long bed for the floor I might use and I'm also in the works of getting a rust free tub

Well in that case do that lol. I have seen a fully plated first gen that did look pretty damn good as well though

That's pretty normal first gen rust. :) there are patch panels for all that. Even might be able to cut out sections from a bed in a wrecking yard.

There is a junkyard on redwood road and about 10th south that always has a bunch of 67-72 chevy trucks. I rarely see blazers, but you might be able to get some stuff from the trucks.
