The Toyota on page 20, it looks to me that the frame was cut and the story fabed.

As far as the roll cages goes, its bolted to the floor, you can clearly see it on page 83.
Otherwise, i would suspect the cage would hold up for those in the front cab. The rear is smushed in the roll over however. I dont think you have to have a phd in physics to see those long bars in the rear offer nothing but leverage.

I had no idea that there were this many roll bar experts on this site, and what great judges too!!!!!! I will be sure to call you guys and get some truck building advice the next time i build a truck, it is obvious that you guys know how to design and build the best trucks out there, because i see them all over the magazines, you guys are so cool, i wish one day i can have a truck like yours. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Although this looks like an atempt at sacarsm, I think most of the statements are true. There are a bunch of experts on this site and one would do well to consult them before spending their hard earned money on something that won't perform as hoped. I think most of them would rather wheel than get into a mag and there you have it.

Maybe you should do some research on cage building before yapping off to some of the guys here that 'get it'.

plenty of rigs from this site have made it into the mags. and 95% of it was whee;ing coverage, not "I dropped off 30K and a frame and look what I got for it" show rigs.

This is ColoradoK5.com, where "Built not Bought" is more of a lifestyle then a catch phrase.

The VAST majority of us have built our rigs with our hands and more then helpful friends and comrades. Lots of people will jump in with advice when your in the dark, your floor jack is spitting out fluid, your tranny is still out, and you can't figure out which bearings went to which side of your Doubler. BUt you know what? that guy/gal needing help is doing it him/her self.
