If you spend that much money on a rig, why skimp on the cage. There was a lot of money spent making the cage look nice, but not much engineering or thought involved in keeping everyone safe.

To the other critic of my post: You are a dumbass. You obvioulsy dont know much about cage design due to the fact that the cage would fold over in a hard side hit. Yes, there is bracing, but no its is not in the right place. There needs to be a bar going from the top corner of the cage behind the front seats and extending down the the floor forming an "X". This would be a much safer cage.

Its not anything or anyone said to me personally, its what they said to and about a fellow Blazer man. All the "bashing" that was going on because of the dudes (yes- I know he isnt a CK5 member) rollcage could be done in a little better style. The debate of "form or function" is always alive and well here, but you should only have that discussion with willing participants. I am a new member here, and have enjoyed posting with most of you guys as well as sharing info- but if I knew how easily my pride and joy could be thrashed here, or at PIRATE as some of you suggested, I would have thought twice about getting into this. My blazer isnt a show truck, but it has never scraped a rock either. That doesnt invite critics. Whether it is a high speed 25.1 NHRA rollcage, or a pipe to hold up his soft top- that was for him to decide. But wishing someone else to be in the truck WHEN it folds up? Was that called for? I dont think so. If rjfguitar wants to put an emphasis on his ride to looking cool- thats fine. Its his ride! Its still a CK5 ride and he is still a Blazer man. If you booted off everyone that had a "poser" as it is referred to, you might be suprised who was gone. I support the idea of doing it the BEST- whatever you do. If you are into bling, BLING IT! If you are into rocks, ROCK IT! Are you getting it? Good- now lets start a thread with a pic of your ride and see how fun it is to have YOUR ride gone over with a fine tooth comb. Havnt seen it, dont care to go looking. But Ill bet it is done the BEST in whatever "style" you choose as a project. One more thing- the little thing at the bottom of your post about "yo bitch coming wif me"... I would suggest you change that. You never know when YOU might have to be the "bitch". This post isnt just for blk87 or 84chevyk10- I didnt intent to single anyone out. It is actually for ALL the bitches. sorry if anyone is hurt. i actually agree with him on the point that people like different things and they shouldn't be shunned just because they dont think just like you or me. but about the roll cage i disagree, i dont know much about cages, but that one liiks more show than go to me. again i dont know much about them so take that for what its worth

This post has become a total cluster f**k. If only people would pay attention to who is replying to what this kind of crap wouldn't get near as far as this.

Poncho69...I'll bet nobody participating in this thread even looked at your truck. I didn't. The original critic was responding to MtBlazer89 who was referring to the truck on the Peterson's cover. The truck on the cover of Peterson's does not have a good cage...for wheeling hard, which has been pointed out.

Somewhere along the line you got your panties in a twist because you thought we were slagging your truck.

Owen, if someone posts a pic of something it's fair game. When I have posted pic's of stuff in the past I've recieved honest opinions and criticisms that helped me improve or learn or be safer. Telling someone their cage is not so great could be doing them a favor.

I know it is very important and you count on it to put into your savings account for a REAL rollcage for your fine ride. You might have to flip a few extra burgers on overtime if she does quit. frist thang should let you know that truck (petersons) was all show and some go was why waste time and money on making bigger tire openings with a 6'' lift and 35's also is it your truck then how gives a crap. me i would add some bracing here and there and beat the breaks off it

2. Cant post a pic of my truck because it got stolen. I left to go to a rock crawling event to spot, came back and my rig had been stolen while it was in the garage getting some cage work and mogs thrown under it. A couple of druggies down the street had seen it in the garage and needed some dope money. Found it about a week later in a chop shop. I carried every part out of the shop by myself...that's how bad it was chopped up.

Many people on this site had seen my truck and can vouch it was fawkin pimp. I now compete in professional rock crawling. I have competed in stock modified, pro modified (now legends), and unlimited. Currently, I am building two unlimited rigs. One is for my GF and the other is for me. Matter of fact, she could probably kick your a$$, and I know she can out wheel you.

I really hate tooting my own horn, thats why you wont ever find pics of my junk on the net. It also gives other competitors a look at what im building. There you go, hope you got what you want. I'm done with talking about myself, I just want to get back to pissing in YOUR Post Toasties.

BTW, I dig the white first gen.

Now, I am easily amused, but this stuff is GREAT! I'll keep my opinions to myself most of the time, when it comes to other people's rigs, since they are OTHER PEOPLE'S RIGS, but my opinion in this matter is that this is some FUNNY SHITE! Keep it up! I learn and laugh at the same time! You can't buy and education like this (unless you pay Steve a few bucks a year)!!!

zakk, what part of this did you think was intended for you? I dont feel like I should be offering you one- unless you are a mind reader.... and about my Yugo= I had to get rid of it. Its just too hard to enjoy your moms company at the drive-in movie in such a small car.
