New PitBull Tires Introduced

I will be seeing these in person next weekend I hope at the truck show. Thanks again for the free passes.

now that IS VERY IMPRESSIVE to be as quite as a bfg mt is damn near a mirical, so what? will your A/T sound like a slick then? lol

lol

The Growlers won't sound like slicks, that's for sure. Neither will the Maddogs.

And we've been hearing good reports about the Maddogs out in many areas like Arizona...out on the rocks. And the Growlers have come back with some surprising news from upper Wisconsin in deep snow. So far so good.

Like I said, the magazines will be coming out with their tire test articles over the next few months...with three of them in the next few weeks.

As I receive information, I will pass it along. Ultimately everything will be on our www.pitbulltires.com website. Currently we are finishing the final touches on it...and it looks pretty cool.

One of the local shops just got a set of 35's they look pretty mean. The tread feels soft and looks ALOT deeper than the IROK's. But that might be the case with the rock crawler model, they haven't got any of the other models in yet. I can see if I can take some pics the next time I am at his shop.

soft compound>?

i am really interested on how they wear on the street, i dont want to be buying new tire anytime soon if i buy a set.

compounds/street use

There are no other versions of the Rocker. It was designed to be an excellent Rock tire plus ride well on the street and take abuse. JP mag noticed this fact...which I was very happy about.

The question is, how long will the tread last? I don't know. Indications so far in our field testing is that the tread is doing what it is supposed to do...flex, grab, bite and be tough. It will probably take a year and a half before we can safely guesstimate how long the tread will last. But so far so good.

I wish I could give you guys a better answer...but I would be speculating. All I can say is that if the tires outperform off-road, drive smooth and relatively quiet on road, but only last as long as your current bias aggressive tires...is that worth buying them?

I tryed the link at the beginning and the one from your site to the .pdf file and neither worked.

What sizes are available for a 16.5 rim ?

sizes

33", 35", 37" & 39.5" will all be available in a 15, 16, 16.5 & 17" rim

true sizes

I should have our official website up here in the next 12 days. I should have most of my tire specs on there soon after.

Almost done !!!

I was wondering if anybody knows the cheapest place to buy 35x14.50x15 Rockers. Between me and my wife we have 7 kids........money is really tight (as i'm sure it is for most) but i have been building my Chevy 350 TPI jeep for 3 years now and I'm really close to driving it!! All I need is tires and exhaust and it will be done !! I have tax money back and want to get the Tires and rims done now while i have the money!! I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and I saw somewhere I could find these tires for about $200.00 but i can't find them. Please help....I don't want to buy a cheaper set of tires. The Pitbull Rockers looks SWEET...and I would like to be the first around here to have a set !!! And it would be the finishing touch i need to be driving my sweet jeep!! Thanks for ANY help !! :cool1:

eldiablo,

I've been reading thru your posts here and I'm glad I found them. Your site does not appear to be up yet and its been 12 days....lol. I'm just bustin' your chops there man...:D .

I was about to buy a new set of 39.5 Irocs until I just (tonight) saw your tire (Rockers) in my new issue of Petersens in a Tyres Int add. So I got online and went to searching. No search engine pulls up your new site (pitbulltires.com) by the way. I found the link to this forum on like the 3rd or 4th page on a Google search.

Any way, I think I'm going to go with your 39.5X14.5X15 Rockers instead of the Irocs. The lowest price I could find was $271ea. at OK online. Well I'm pretty sure that doesnt include shipping and they are already $50 a tire more than the Irocs. Is there a place to buy then for less? And is there a place to buy them in Kansas or Colorado? I live in Colorado and My Jeep is in Topeka at bud Mikes shop (4X4Land...shamless plug for a serious bud...lol) getting full witdh axles put under it.

Any help would be awesome... I did read thru the thread and I'll tell you that I aint scared to run them. In fact This is the tire I want on my rig. You tell me where to get them and I'll run'em for sure.

I hear ya.......I'm also trying to find a deal on pitbull tires. This weekend if I can't find a deal..........guess I'll go with the "other" guys tires. Can't say I didn't try.............................I would think the more tires you get out there, would be advertising for the pitbull's

Yeah...

I agree. I dont know about you but i'm on the trail a huge amount and I have not seen any of these. True enough that is prolly because they are new, but I sure wouldnt mind having them on mine first. :cool1:

I think having to live with Irocs wouldnt be to punishing though.....lol.

moab

Sorry guys...been traveling a lot and now in Moab. We ran our tires out here. Very pleased. Jp magazine March 2005 and Four Wheeler May 2005 have now come out with Tire Test reviews on the Rocker. So has Xtreme Off Road magazine...second edition. Good articles...read them for yourself.

website is up and running...although some bugs to work out...but not going to get too hard on my website guy...it's Easter weekend and he's with his family. But most of the stuff works on the site. www.pitbulltires.com

As for the cheapest place to get our tires. We have 30+ dealers across the US and adding more every week. So I'm not sure what to tell ya...use our Dealer Locator (although not all dealers are listed yet but will be soon....most dealers are listed)...and see what you can come up with...I really don't keep track of the retail pricing for each of our dealers. Some are less than others...but who they are...I really don't know...and I'd hate to push one dealer over another, if you know what I mean.

I appreciate you guys wanting to try our tires.

I checked out your website. Everything looks great to me! ;) I can't wait to check out your tires in person.

look very good.

you even have a dealer about an hour and a hlaf from me

not to shabby, woulde really love a rough guesstamit of a muddogs life (more for the wife them me ;) )

:waytogo:

maddogs

I wish I could give you a number on how long the tire tread will last. I really have no idea. I do know that you should probably check out pirate4x4.com and see what some of the guys are saying about the Maddogs off-road performance. It's damn good. I'd say that they work better than most stuff that's out there.

I'd rather you wait and talk to other people, than buy our tires with any kind of reservation. We want you to feel good about buying our products. So in all honesty...hold off until other guys have run them and can tell you a little more about them. Me telling you how great our tires are means nothing...they're my tires and it's hard for me to be unbiased about them.

But I truly appreciate your interest in them. Like I said, you might want to hold off on buying some until more reviews and real world testers use them. We have a lot of guys across the country testing them since August of last year. And many guys have bought them as well...in the 15". I've also sent sets to a couple of the major off-road magazines for independent reviews.

I just feel more comfortable with other people, not affiliated with my company...telling you guys what they think about our tires. It seems to mean more I think.
