New PitBull Tires Introduced

Right...

But cant a tire be Load range C and still be a 4 Ply Tire? I dunno maybe I understand that wrong. Just thought you would want to to know they are advertizing it as such. That would certainly explain why they are so flexy.

As for the specs on the Iroc's...lol... I have visited the Interco page very frequently... theres on the Iroc is; 39.5x13.50-X, 6-Ply, 20/32 tread depth ( really like yours at 24/32nds), Tread width 11.8in., 39.5 O.D. and 15.6 wide (side bulge to side bulge).

I think they are very comparable and was not to carried away with a 4 ply VS a 6 ply, I mean obviously the 6 ply isnt going to flex as well but is much tougher... but yours will be a full 2 (true) inches wider. As well, even with a seemingly good deal offer they are still much more in cost. Even with a deal they are $200 more for pretty much only to look different.

Now that they are so much wider doesnt seem like the best way to go for me. However I think you guys will sel lthe crap out of these for the most part.

El you seem like a great guy and hope you the best but the last min change you got me on the outs brother :D .

I apologize for the last minute change.

As for the difference between our tire and another brand as only looks...I have to difffer with you on that one. It's not merely a difference in looks...but functionality as well.

But I appreciate the positive comments and support. Sorry we didn't have a tire sized right for you this time. We will in the future.

Just saw this...

Any way, I had to go with the Iroc's becasue of the size change and I like them a bunch. But I am considering the A/T Pit Bull's for my truck I really like the way they look.

Last 4x4 mag I read said they are not available in any tread pattern for 15" rims... is this correct? I like the look and I like the review, but I'm not about to go buy new rims... I like my stock 8 inch wide 15 inch rims...

rims

The last article you read was wrong. All of our tires come in 15, 16, 16.5 & 17" rims.

So what do the tires you bought measure out to be?

tires and sizes

1. Check out new pics on the website
2. Tire specs are on Tire Info page...lower right hand corner.
3. All sizes are out...some are harder to get than others because of volume of existing orders. 39.5x15s and 17s are hardest to get right now...but more are being made as we speak.
4. Maddogs are being reviewed by top magazines.
5. Bowling Green, Crandon, Bloomsdale, Chula Vista and Vegas. If these names don't mean something to you...then go to our website...we are traveling a lot this year and the News section has updates.

Real Sidewall Protectors - that help protect the sidewall and rims from impact.
Rim Guards - gotta have ’em

would this impact or restrict the tire use in beadlocks? especely hummers?

and when would you expect the skinyer tires to be avalable for the maddog?

in 33 and 35'? for 16.5

Of course it may never happen...but we're giving it until after the election and another 6 months or so before we decide on making 40" and larger tires. I'm sure we'll do them at some point...probably the end of next year. Because no matter what...you know that they'll always be legal for off-road use.

But let me ask this...why the hell would anyone want a 40" or bigger tire unless you're just doing it for show? Which is fine...but it doesn't seem to me that there is that large of a market for giant tires.

I could be wrong.

and play in sum of this mississippi river gumbo that will suck the floor boards off ur truck and you will see why we need tire bigger than a 40" you need at least that to hit the trails here and u still will winch quite abit..its getting where 44's aren't tall enuff hence the 49" iroc's ..i can tell your not from the delta

now your getting close

FYI...we're going to be at the Off Road Industry show in Vegas - January 20-22nd. We'll also be at the Midwest Truckers show in Peoria, IL February 3-5. And we're going to do our best to get out to Moab.

I'm thinking about doing a 42x15.50-16, 16.5, 17, 18, 20 in the Rocker design. Any thoughts?

make a 20-50" and i will hold off on ordering the 49" irocs

not just vendors

Well said, Michael, well said. People on this site need to grow up a bit when it comes to treating vendors with respect, especially when the owner of the site potentially loses money because of it.

i have put beater_k20 on a permanent look over
all i've ever got from him is put downs and mistakes pointed out and plain old crap...never any advise or information just straight up put downs when try'n to be serious and learn someting or explain things ...

permanent look over huh? that's cute. are you going to inspect every thread i post in to make sure its up to your standards? try posting something intelligent once in a while, and maybe you would get some good advice, rather than looking like a complete moron. actually i had an average childhood, and have worked hard for everything i have. my K20 does have all seasons on it, and no, i dont wheel it. why? because it was my grandfather's truck, and i dont intend on cutting it up. it will be in my posession until the day i die. i had a rig that would've rivaled most of the hardcore rigs on this site, but i got bored building it, so i sold it.

as for your little comment about frying my hard drive, the moderators will be notified, since that is a threat, which is against forum rules.

well well

look who replied, to bad that member is on my ignore list or i would have something to read ...
just let it go man if u hadn't been such a prick in my side when i joined on every post we wouldnt be here..

i have no desire to read your insults anymore....

oh i had another person that lives a block from here that has a 1st gen k 30 shortened with a '98 bed on it (well he is scared the government or some1 is watching him and is signed in like he likes in alabama or georgia or something and has his computer setup to not even reply to pings or he can set it to say he's in austrailia or any where he wants)..read your post and said you threatned to tell the moderators on me ...that i made a threat about i almost felt like shutting you down with a virus that was not a threat it was a comment made to the whole thread, a threat is something i would have said directly to you in the heat of the moment which i didn't and i din't send you any thing to messup your computer either ..but u prove my point by saying u didnt have the patience to work on your wheeler..don't bring that attitude here and talk about people and make fun of their typing skills or such and call them names and such just to get a stir out of them

i do respect you for having enuff passion to hold sentimental value in something you got from your grand father props to u, really ..but it seemed like u were following me just trying to see what it would take to light my fuse..well my fuse is wet you can't get me stirred up thats why i let it go..
i take enuff narcotics and valium(prescibed to me of course) that you can't make me mad unless u put hands on my wife or daughter ..u can talk about them all u want it still wouldn't upset me ..
i have poor typing skills and greg72 pointed it out to me not by insulting me or talking rudely to me.....but if you do tell moderators and they ban me whats to stop me from cloaking my ip address and using 1 of my many other emails and signing up under another id...i don't know if i just mistoke you because i don't know you or if thats actually how u are...but everyreply i got from you seemed rude or insulting...may be u should learn to speak without an anger tone or rude trying to pull some1s chain...i have you ignored so i wouldn't have to here it but if u didn't have patience to work on your wheeler then i have nothing to learn from you....

btw if they are built rite they shouldn't break that often..however i've wasted enuff bandwidth on u

then dont ignor him them, dont say it then read it anyways and still talk off topid crap in this thread.

it is for pitbull tires, take it some ware elce.

i am talking tires

i want you to consider when you take into account the longest lug on the boggers actually run down the side wall, and create a lug that is about 2 1/2-4" tall depending upon the size you run.
i run 38.5 boggers and they are 3 1/2" shoulder lugs and these tire don't look like they can match it...and the advertised skid depth is 29/32, i dont under stand why they claim this because i used a ruler on my brand new tires and the lugs were just shy of 1 1/4"high off the carcass of the tire...i'm looking to run a taller tire and had all but made up my mind to run the 49" irocks but i want something new and exciting especially if it will do what they claim it to do...and bam i run across this...thats why i'm begging for a 20-50-16.5 to go thru the trails that are "closed" due to being eat out with 42-44" tires..i would almost bet you you would have a feeding frenzy on your hands when i pull up and cross these holes that have trails around them...everyone in the delta will want a set and it wouldn't take long for the boys across the riverin mississippi to find out theres some1 across the brige that noone can follow and half the state of mississippi has som sort of truck raised usually on 44"tires i have not heard a word about any r&d in the delta around the lower east half of arkansas ..if you can beat this gumbo then you would earn alot of loyal customers...i know people who have buried their trucks in it and have to let them stay there a month or so until it dried up...because tractors couldn't get to them and they were snapping cables left and right had 2 ramsey winches and 2 warns and two trucks in tandem as close as they could get and it wouldn't budge...come walk around in this stuff and i'll never buy another brand tire

they finally got the truck out after it dried up and had to use a wrecker so they could pick it up , with two other trucks in tandem in front of the wrecker

they managed to get the truck out minus its batteries, carb, intake, hei distributor, plug wires, watterpump, radiator,,etc anything that the vultures could take they did now if he would have had some tires to get him thru he wouldn't have lost a thing and definetly would have been crowned king

so please research in some mid mississippi mud (gumbo)and come to your own conclusion that there is a need for a tire this size send me a 1 off set and i'll research them for you i know it takes awhile to make different sizes, but we are almost 10" below our average rain fall and most of these places are deid up and the gumbo has crachs in it almost a ft deep now but feel free to come wheel with us next spring after the snow up north has melted and had the river out of its banks for2-3 months and its raining every other day and make believers out of every1

once that happens you can bet the professional mud bogger will start runing pitbulls also...i'm not trying to be snotty but it has taken yrs to figure out what will work in this stuff and part of that is know just where not to venture..and even then u bury it up to door handels with 15" of lift and 44" tires if your tire will wade throgh this stuff bring some cameras because this will be the place to film a commercial..thanks 4 ur time

sidewall protectors

The sidewall protectors have no impact on beadlocks. Plenty of guys run beadlocks with our tires.

skinnier tires

We will have a 33x1250 in the Growler out in December.

We will have a 38.5x1350 in the Maddog next summer. This will be a skinnier tire.

We will have a 37x1350-16.5, 17, 18 & 20 in the Growler next summer as well.

gumbo

I hear ya on the bigger tires. It's not that we don't want to make bigger tires...it's simply a matter of having picked those sizes we felt had the most universal appeal...up front.

We will have larger sizes down the road.

As for what works in Gumbo. All I have to say is that I've had different people tell me that our 39.5s spec out close to larger sizes in other brands.

We have CORR guys running our 33"s and winning in classes where other guys are running 35"s.

We have Mudders running our 35"s in 39.5" classes and beating out other guys using the bigger tires.

None of this is directly related to the point you make...but it's indicative of how aggressive our tires are.

Our 39.5s are big and wide. At full PSI they measure out to almost 40" and about 17.4 (on average) section width. They are wide tires with excellent flotation.
