Any pictures with the engine installed with the fender to tire clearance? Is the axle in the stock location? Think you would be alright without the body lift and with the bed(clearance wise)? You can't move the shackle mount in the front any farther forward?
My thought for myself was lift springs off one of our K trucks. I would street it pretty often so I'd like something a little more stable then 52/56s.
can get pics for ya. and the shorter springs will require fancy made mounts for the shackles. and the rear mounts in the frame are as far to the front as possible. i tryed 52" in front but it pulled the axle to close to the fire wall . so i swaped in 56" springs. this helped move the axle forward about 3" for me. and the tire is now center in the fenderwell. the pics with the front shackle are with the sbc and 4l80-e tranny in there and i still need to put in tcase and front sheet metel and big bumper.
i am curently in need of new work place and it has stalled for now. but i realy need to finish as this will be my winter ride and play toy. .
yep i pulled the flat bed off it the other day for my latest easyer fix up truck. i will finish it this summer or swap it ofer to my crew cab truck and make it solid axle.
