New Solid Axle Swap Info. WARNING BIG PICS AND LOTS OF THEM!! SORRY PARTED OUT TRUCK

sweet Flatbed!!! any reason why you are going with the flat deck instead of the bed?

I'll get some pics of my bobber flatbed soon. i mounted the led's on the tail the other day, just have to cut the deck out of diamondplate.

the origanal plan was for the flat bed. i want a real redneck truck:D . and the dd crew cab bed was ready to fall off. the crossmembers were all rusted out. so i poped it on the truck. and i didnt want to move the axle back in the fender well. :wink1:

as for motor 350 tbi and 4l80-e tranny with divorced 205 tcase. but if i get tired of the 350 i do have 2 454 big blocks in the garage colecting dust.:p:

Hey man, quick question. I know we were talking about why 1 ton spring mounts won't work. But I noticed both you and the other thread were using 2wd frames. Is there a difference in them and the 4WD tahoe frame? I don't have the coil buckets and nonsense. Just thinking out loud.....

So the issue with the hangers is at the front spring, rear hanger? The 1 tons aren't deep enough it seems and you have to ad a 1" or so spacer?

well got the 350sbc and 4l80 2x4 tranny swaped in to the frame this weekend. she saged a bit but about as much as normal. took some pics of the spring sag and shackle angle.as always just ask if you need info or new better info welcom thanks to all who have looked and gave help or coments.

Freakin' awesome!!! I'm gonna have some questions, just have to think about my own application first. Can't wait to see it rollin' on its own power - redneck as it is ;) LOL

got my ord crossover/high steer setup ready to bolt on it. looks like i have to remove the nub that sticks out on the 2x4 engine crossmember as it is in the way of the drag link.
