last pics and full article in hear is it.

yup i saw the pics but..wth did you just say...:crazy:

I have my crossover setup but the draglink is from a 73-87 truck so it will have to be shortened. if i put another small bend in it (90 degrees to the bend thats in it already, close to the steering box tre then it should clear alot more, right now i only have like a 1/4- 1/2":o

basicly i havent toched it at all. execept to remove the flat bed and thats it.

gotcha;) i just didnt know if you had gotten it on before or not, al cleared up now though. Ill let you know how mine works out clearance wise and whether on not ill have to mod the draglink/ crossmember...

you need to finish it i love this truck , and it was the reason i want to swap a new body on mine . that body style looks so cool with a solid axle and beef

I definetly wouldnt swap bodys, way to much work. beside the 88 and up frames are stronger. SAS is much easier/ cheaper and will be stronger. besides all of the parts you have will work, even if it needs some modification...

I already did the SAS on my 89, but I sold the brackets and gonna try 52s out up front. I'm getting tired of waiting on people for welding, fabbing, etc. cause I don't have a welder, so I tried to make my own, and so far it's pretty damn easy. I used the stock front hangers off the front a 73-87 4wd, and the front hangers for the rear springs off a 2wd, OBS. You can use the 4wd ones, but from what pics I've seen, you need to cut the top off or it will hit the body. The 2wd ones are alot shorter. I still need shackles, should be here this week, and then a little fabbin', but for the most part done. I will post some pics later.....

I'm wanting to SAS my 93 swb 2wd I'm gonna use fabtech superduty front spring hangers and 56'' springs what's giving me fits is how to do the rear shackle hangers for the front end .every thing I've seen so far doesn't look very stout I'm trying to get every thing figured out before I start cutting

I thought about that too, but after looking at even the 1/2 ton hangers, they are thicker than what I thought. Could always get a set and use them as a template to make a heavier set. Gonna try these and see what happens, if they break or bend, least they are bolted in and won't be hard to replace. Looks like I will be doing the same thing on my 97, ****in thing will not sell and it's pissin' me off......

man I wish I'd have found that before I bought my Suburban

they shouldnt bend... i cant see why they would...People have wheeled this setup alot, no problems... Those brakcets are beef! (3/4 ton anyways) It took alot of heat for me to bend mine into shape... They bolt on the same way as a aftermarket kit too. I have absolutley no concerns aboot the brackets...

Yeah I mean they do work well in the rear think you could post some more detailed shots???? I'm gonna be starting mine within the next few weeks

you can see the shots in my write up (its the 2wd extended cab thread) i have some pretty detailed shots already but i can get more if you want em. But brackets were heavily modified from what sweet k30 is doing though, im using shorter spring so i had to move the rear mount forward...

yeah I want to run 56" springs on mine. But any pics would help

sorry been so long. it got parted out as i didnt have the time or energy to finish it . and i got offered a good deal on some of the parts.

but i did use some of them to finish a 73-87 build that i will post up pics of soon.
