Nothing to report right now, other than a deposit has been made on a tuned 6.0. Can't wait!!

I'm going through this guy to get the 6.0.

Granted, I don't have any hard results to post yet, but from what everyone else had to say about their experiences with this guy, and how helpful he's been to me so far, I think I'll be very happy. There's a bit of a wait for engines right now, but that's ok with me, the 350 will get me around fine until I get this one. I would have never EVER attempted a swap to a computer controlled engine on my own from scratch, but this seems doable to me since you get everything ready to go out of the package. Motor mounts and fuel delivery will be the biggest items left on the list, but neither of those should be an issue.

I have over 200K on the 5.3 in my Yukon and it still runs AMAZINGLY well, so I have been in love with these engines for awhile. The 6.0 seems perfect for a heavy Suburban on 35's. I'd drop a 5.3 into a K5 in a heartbeat. In fact, I may end up putting one in my Wagoneer at some point, who knows.

He's at the top of my list currently. You getting the zo6 cam, or just the standard 6.0?

As of now, just the standard 6.0L. Although, I am really struggling with the "ah why the hell not" line of logic right now...

My original debate was between the 5.3 with the Z06 cam or a stock (mechanically) 6.0. Now I'm really considering the 6.0 and a cam. Dammit.

But the LQ9 is just a little bit more....:haha:

What trans are you going to run?

My biggest challenge is controlling my 4l80e. Gotta call them up. Thinking i'll be restricted to a motor that was coupled to a 4l80e originally.

I will be keeping my TH400, mostly for simplicity's sake. As far as your 4L80E, that 6.0 came with those, no?

The 3/4 ton ones did, and i think the harness on my 4l80e was updated when it was rebuilt . Hopefully it would plug in...

So whats the deal with the 6.0L oil pan clearance?

A while ago when i chatted with pacific fab, they said i needed a lift to keep the axle out of the oil pan? Tried to convince me that the 8.1L was the only one i could run stock height....which doesn't seem to be true.

Jesus Christ I paid 1100 less for a complete running, driving, rolled over truck with a 6.0/4l80e. I need to get into the used LS motor business for that kind of money.

Is going to the salvage yard and finding your own out of the question? Thats way too much money.

I have a 4" lift, so I hope it won't be an issue for me, but the other option is an oil pan out of one of the cars that had that same engine.
