Nice American made shocks for cheap!

They don't have pre-88 shocks thus the reason for the question.

What's the difference between the 88 gm version and 87 gm version?

Didn't mean to be a prick. what was available seems to have changed and tehy sold some of the stock. Sorry!

Anyone want to trade 4" lift for 6" lift?

Bummer, I missed out on shocks:( Ordered up some valve covers and a couple tee shirts from edelbrock.com for a prettey decent price though. Finally have those black valve covers I wanted. :D

so they dont have um anymore................. i just checked there site and there 29.99

The edelbrock site was always $30, it was summit that was clearing them out for $6

On the edelbrock site theres mostly shocks for just the front, but won't they work in the rear as well? same mounting right? or just front cause of strength?

Still haven't received an answer on here much but when I looked my fronts were 3" shorter then the rears...

got four of the six inch lift shocks for 88 up and two four inch lift shocks for 91 down blazer. $6. each! :D

If the front shocks wont work on the rear then I am willing to sell my 2 extra that I bought if i can make my $$ back.

Got my 4 Edelbrock shocks today.

Anybody else's shocks come out "sticky" from the bag they were in? I pulled the shock out of the box to measure the lengths and the bag was almost stuck to the shock. Once I got the bag off, the shock body remained "sticky".

Normal or not?

Mine were too, actually. They also had at holes torn into a couple of the boxes.

It's from the dyno testing

Non sticky shocks arrived today. The 88 up six inch lift shocks are only 1/2 inch longer than the 87 type four inch lift front shocks...

Who else has put theirs on?

First, ive never installed a shock that wasn't under tension w/ some straps or somethign out of hte box.

These were compressed, with no preload. I had to pull them out to install them. Is this normal?

Second, i think you get what you pay for. Reviews i had read on other sites said these often error'd on the the too soft side. Well, i only have like 100miles on them, but that is NOT the case. They rattle my teeth out on the highway more than the old worn out POS ones that were on there.

I do feel the inertia valve or whatever releasing and letting it dampen some bumps, like a medium sized whoopydeedoo dip on teh freeway. Besides that, they are too firm. I am also one that always errror's on the firm side, and likes a firm ride. On our 1/2 tons, i always got the firmest i could get.

Anyways, moral of the story is i am glad i paid $6 for them and not $70, cause i am dissapointed at $6. Anyone else?

i just bought 4 of the remote resi's for 239 shipped to my door.....

now they are saying i was declined for some reason, i got almost 2K in my checking account......

i got the last two 63905's, they are 8 inch strokes so they will work on my blazer, and got some of the 63912's for the rear and they are 8's also, i also got a set for my F350.......i also ordered a set of resi's for the front of my 1996 dodge pulling truck........

they cancelled the first order cause they was out of the other ones i ordered........
