So, who has installed these?
3 Months and probably 5k miles, both upper bushings are destroyed. WTF. I put them on with the supplied bolt sleve, but looks like they moved side to side on that sleeve and wore out. I thought about putting a spacer in there, but never did. Figured they had been designed that way.
I thought the drivers side one just died cause the master cylinder leaked all over it, but when the passenger side FELL OUT it was clearly not just the brake fluid.
Got universal GM HELP bushings from kragen, they suck. Only the little ones could be crammed into the shocks, used the big ones trimmed shorter to space it on teh bolt mount.
Spent more time replacing the bushings than i did installing the shocks....could have upgraded if the f-ing truck wasn't stealing all my money recently with a trans an AC repair.
Anyone else have this issue? If you havent' installed them, rig something so the front upper shock does not move laterally along the bolt sleeve!
Hopefully my rigged bushings will live for a while, until i can afford some different shocks. They are still way stiff, but better than when the bushings fell out
Damn do shocks with no bushings make awful noises clanking around
Gonna call them about warranty replacement.
