NON Chevy’s in the Wild

Man that is a lot of cars similar to one's my family had. Brother had a duster and the torino, I had a 66 lemans, have a newer challenger now and a good friend had a 70, I was gonna buy a barracuda like that when I found my laguna

This isn't in the wild, but I'll throw it in here.
Doing the same with the Chevy thread.

My wife was cleaning behind a computer desk and found a bag of pics that I don't remember throwing together lol.
Just some of my old rides.

My first vehicle in my name. Late 70's scout. Way to long ago for me to remember exact year lol.
345, auto, 3.73s. I took possession after this pic and we added 2 leaves rear, 1 in front, and 2" shackles all around.

91 4 runner was the best wheeler I'd ever had until the current k30. And it would still definitely go places the k30 couldn't for sure. Just not deep mud. (Not stuck in the poser pic lol)

83 ramcharger. 318, 4 speed.
My cousin and me posing because we thought we were cool in our twenties lol.

65 Mercedes 190D. I had big ideas of putting a full running gear from a 4.3 S10 in it.
Trailer court told me it had to go, or my trailer did.
Gave it to a buddy and he drove over it with his grandpa's articulated tractor :doah:

$10,000 nearly new Nissan I had while living in said $1000 $h1t hole trailer.
And how it ended up after a 65 mph angle into a steep embankment.

Looks about like my trailer when I got married. You had a bigger LP tank, though. :rotfl:
You can see my MC SS.
EDIT, just noticed I still have 2 of those 3 trash cans. Take that @ktmoutfront

Still hard to tell for certain but from this photo it looks like a Dana35 rear axle - this thing may very well be a YJ.

My 86 CJ still had the tail gate latches inside and dropped down instead of swing if I remember correctly. I had one at the end of the run so it came stock with a Dana 44 rear too!

Saw several NON Chevys out and about today.

I included the Jeep truck ( can’t recall what they were called ? ) because some of them came with Dana 44 rear axles in a time where Jeep was using a Dana 35 in most everything they made - so sad.

The T-Bird was at a very high-end shop as was the Pontiac and the FJ40.

I just liked the way the F-250H.D. looked.

That VW / Toyota truck is neat. It looks like an 89-95 Toyota, that style of bed wasn’t available here on that model. Foreign market Toyotas can have really cool features.

The cleats on the bed should make a comeback!

Trivia; I can’t remember which was which now but with or without cleats used to be the difference between Japan or US built beds. To cut back on tariffs imposed on imports Toyota used to ship many trucks here as a cab & chassis (incomplete, not heavy duty) and the beds were added at the port of entry. I think with cleats was Japanese.

I’m fairly certain that this Defender is the same one I posted a week or two ago when we was talk’n about most of these being street queens but just in case it isn’t here’s a pic of another one.

And just for some unneeded local trivia the building behind the Defender was built in the very early 1800’s and when the Florida territory was officially signed over to become a state of the Union in 1821 it was done in the park directly across the street where it is parked in this picture.

Spotted a nice Bronco at a shop across town today.

As for the Jeep I would assume that it’s a CJ-7 with rear flare mods - if so it should have a Model 20 rear axle and as we can tell it appears to be living up to its “stellar” reputation.
I just hope they are replacing it with a D44 or 9” damn near anything else but just not repairing that OEM P.O.S.
