NON Chevy’s in the Wild

Spotted another FJ40 today - gotta like a vehicle that was in competition with JEEP’s but still came with 9.5” ring gear diameters front & rear and 30-spline ( not the early stuff ) axles ; even at the hub !
U-joint trunions bigger than 1350 stuff - front & rear and stout transmissions & T-cases.
All for a vehicle that wasn’t even rated for 1/2-ton usage - other manufacturers should have stepped up their game!
It’s possible that I am biased towards these ole Land Cruisers…

In other news spotted a 90’s era F-150 still gett’n things done daily and couldn’t see the other car well enough to identify it correctly?

Technically isn't that still a Chevy?
I guess it’s fair to say that ever since 1982 all the F-Body’s have been Chevys ( except for those all white ones in ‘89 that sounded like those special black Buicks )…and even a few from ‘77~’81 - it’s sad that Pontiac V-8 engines went out on such a low note with that lightweight casting turbo 301.
Poncho motor fans deserved better…
