This is silly.

I have absolutely nothing of value to add.

The good news...I saved 15% on car insurance with Geico.

Their website says, and always has said, "to call for pricing ; pricing subject to change"
I would much rather them be in the shop coming up with new parts, than updating their website.
And Beater...... anyone that reads your posts knows how you deal with people. Your attitude is evident in the way you type, I can't imagine how bad it would get on the phone.
Take the time to read, and take the time to listen, and you will have fewer surprises in life.
ORD is not perfect, nobody is. I have had Summit send me the wrong stuff before. It happens.

It's a mistake or miscommunication, not a Jerry Springer episode.

Thats some funny S#@T right their.

Hows CAMOK5 doing, the 38.5's doing him well. Your old 35's look nice collecting cob webs in my back yard while my truck sits.

I might as well jump in here also. I've ordered parts from ORD in the past and have had no troubles. I also spent a fair amount of time over the phone with Stephen getting technical help. I did place an order once that was different than the website listed price but a few dollars difference meant nothing to me as Stephen has spent more than a few dollars worth of his time helping me over the phone. I will order from ORD again in the future when i'm in need of parts that they sell. That's all, just wanted to voice my .02 since this thread seems to have gotten so much attention in a very SHORT amount of time. Keep up the quality parts there Stephen.

I just lost 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back reading this.:haha:

I've looked at ORD's site many times but have not ordered anything yet. I probably will spend some money their. The biggest issue is accuracy in pricing. We run a home based business and a website. It's not that difficult to keep the information accurate. There are many ways of doing it and doing it with minimal impact.

I don't care what the fine print says. Update the price!! As a business owner, if that's the advertised price, then that's the price. If it changes that much, create a live "ticker" to keep the price updated.

The biggest issue to me is customer service. If you say something is going to happen, make damn sure you follow through and make it happen. If you cannot follow through, call and let me know. I'll pay a couple of $$ more for good customer service. If you don't have the skills to deal with customers, get someone who does and keep yourself out of public eye.

Just my $0.02 to the soap opera

I never had and issue with ORD's price..it was the time frame that it took to get the product. ;)

Don't get me wrong..ORD has been around since day #1. I found out about ORD through CK5.com.

I never had a problem with them over the phone. Doing business over the phone, and the intraweb is very different. They have treated me great over the phone, and over the year's. I never said I wouldn't do business with them ever again. :D

I don't know why i feel the need to post in this "abortion" of a thread but here goes.

First off i have ordered from almost every vendor on this site (including ORD) and have never had major problems with any of them. In some of my dealings parts got to me a little slow but my truck hasn't moved in two years so no big deal.

The only time i had a small issue with ORD was when i ordered my soft-top i was told it would take 7-8 weeks to deliver' and after 7 weeks i called to find out what the status was told they would have to check and get back to me. After 2 days I called and Stephen answered, He told me the company he used had closed their doors and he was looking into other suppliers. he called me back a few days later and told me another company was available but it was more money($100 more) and i declined on this brand (more of because i didn't like the top than the money). I wish there was better communication through this process but they never billed my card and the company closed so it was not like there was anything they could do.

With that said i must also note that i do feel that ORD is protected here. I understand they have been here since the beginning ,they sponsor the garage, and have their own forum, but I also feel I pay $25 a year to post here and if I have a bad experience with one of the vendors here I will tell the rest of the "Brotherhood" about it so that the next person can weight their options before jumping into something with both feet.

I Don't believe there was a "Lynch Mob" going after ORD but i do think that more than a few of the "Brothers" have had an issue with ORD. i noticed most people here have praised the product even if the service was not what they had hoped for. But if i was Stephen i would be reading this thinking if the people this close to me are having issues maybe there are some issues.

Just My $.02 CB

assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups Leper.

Hmmm. no attitude there.......:D Hope you had your 27 dollars of fun cause I am sure it will cost ORD a bunch more than that. But if your happy I guess that was there end result! I too shop around for parts but there are some things I don't bother cause I know where the quality is. It is not always about price. Imagine being out in the middle of nowhere and breaking down cause you wanted to save a few bucks and buy a similar part. That just got to be expensive/ugly. If I was driving by and offered help (I always do) and the upset person had attitude I would probly leave ya there! But ORD wouldn't! Remember that, what comes around goes around! ORD has always always been good to me! I have plenty of their products including 2 doublers and I abuse my junk with no problems. That is why quality is #1 not price. Anyways good luck with your springs I love mine!

I have ordered parts from several vendors on here and have had issues with each, but the one issue I had with ORD was resolved when I spoke in an even tone with them and offered what I felt was a reasonable solution and did more than my part in understanding and action to help resolve it on my end.

Giving the slightest bit of attitude to anyone can certainly be the easiest way to sour a relationship.

Yes, maybe ORD needs a fulltime Webmaster and a few more employees, but they seem to be doing well with their system, 10 years is a good run.

Our lesson should be this, as it states on the website, CALL IN ALL ORDERS.

It will either force them to realize that they need more telephone operators, dedicated telephone operators, or possibly a more sophisticated website that is maintained better.

Otherwise, the issues are non-existant in my book.

Rock on ORD.

Well, lads it appears that the issue that started this whole "discussion" has been resolved, and I really don't think leaving this open is going to further any particular cause. As a result, I'm gonna lock it up.
