OFFICIAL* Dante's Peak Suburban Build *

Well no pressure at all!

Stay Saturday night for a special screening of Dante's Peak and The Dante's Peak Suburban! A group from Colorado rebuilt a '88 Chevy Suburban to be like the one Pierce Brosnon drove in Dante's Peak. The first showing of it will be at the 2014 Depot Days in Wallace, where Dante's Peak was filmed. So we're going to have a special screening of this great movie after the car show at the Melodrama.

So it stopped raining and I went out side and the PB Blaster worked. I got the lower bolts out of the bumper and the bottom brackets of the combo on just as the monsoon started. So I raised the hood and am letting the rain was the dust off motor.

OH and one more thing!

12 days left till i head to Eric's
:zombie19:

I am supposed to get the lift done in morning. The guy was going to do it and let me owe him for the straight pipe and service work. I was to write two checks to him and he would deposit them on May 6 and June 6.

I was to write him one for the work of installing the lift. So lets hope he will still do the work.

I got 90% of the insides back on and got the combo kit started waiting on the bolts to finish that. They are due in Thursday or Saturday. I got the new front u bolts Yesterday ($59) from ORD.

I am ready to finish up under the hood, insulation, painting the inner fenders.

OK got the lift done and cat off today. The front springs had to be drilled. Had to explain that the zero rate was not a block and show them the web site. The cat was partially blocked. So here is a update report.

Got the interior all in except the sill plates on doors and headliner trim. That will go on after basket install. Got the hood insulation cut and have enough to make battery wraps too.

The front is ready to mount the combo kit when the bolts get here on Friday. Had to order some replacement grade 5 carriage bolts. So with out further ado......

movie truck/\.

The Utah re-enforcements arrived tonight to help wrestle the roof basket on and finish up on truck. Thanks goes out to him for coming to help. This make it a complete CK5 build. With out you this truck would not be where it is. The NAPA tool sales man who came to the shop today wanted to take pictures. I also had a guy look it over while getting gas in it and he said it was da bomb.

I didn't know people still said that.

this is coming together so nicely Lawrence, congrats on your dream buddy!

How is the view looking out from your deck this time of year???
Awesome as I remember, but different time of year now, how bout a pic?

The view was pretty awesome, I was glad to be able to see the stars clearly for the first time in a long time, and have a river be the noisiest thing around.

yeah, its a pretty nasty homefront Lawrence has to put up with...

I was in awe for approximately 18 of the 22 hours I was with him...had to catch some shuteye part of the night.

Looks awesome and nice and level. Thats a 3" lift in the back and zero rates in the front?

It is a 2.5"

For all those who have helped in one way or another I thank you. I will be taking the truck to Wallace to finish this.
