OFFICIAL* Dante's Peak Suburban Build *

Russel is secretly collecting other people's square bodys...:pimp:

I do not know what Wade, Riley or the third person will need for gas/diesel. I have gotten $330 now for them. If any is left I will be forwarding it to Russell. Still hoping to sell a black stick in two weeks to help cover cost.

I have changed my plans for the better. I am wheeling in Buena Vista Colorado, with some of the CK5 brotherhood, on Saturday and Sunday. That is 2 hours closer to the burb than my house is. I am taking my trailer with me and going to find a place to leave the Jimmy Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon.

Will head to Ouray Sunday evening and find a place to sleep close to there. This way I can grab the suburban Monday morning and not have a 14 hour driving day. Will give me more time to get to SLC without a push.

For my part, Big Red will hang out at Keith's house for a few days until I can head up to Montana with it. I'll meet Cole in Dillon, MT to pass the torch. Currently I'm going to have to rent a pickup and trailer as I haven't been able to source one to borrow from a friend.

my paypal for Wade, Riley and Cole fund is my user name at hotmail dot com for the gas card. Riley keep trac of your rental cost and I'll try to get ya covered when the black stick sells should be able to get $300 out of it.

Also in order to keep forum rules I will be going back and removing and NON-TECH post I made.

Do you want me to just haul it up to Cole? I don't have an issue with that. I have the time.
730 miles from Ouray to Dillon. That is a full day.

Get summit to sponsor a new crate motor

Scary future prediction?

Nope that would be taking advantage. How ever they do have the switches we need. Wonder if Craig can put in a good word?

It wouldn't be so bad, but it's gotten to the point that in most pictures icant tell which is the movie and which is real life. Which I Hess means good job Lawrence!

My favorite response. :pimp:

Don't give me any bad ideas!!!
Esspecially when that would make a most excellent chase truck with a 8.1L / Allison under the hood...

Well????

I pass a cclb srw with a utility bed every day I go to work. Its just sitting in this guys yard. Not sure of the year or if its a 4x4 (front axle is blocked from view) but that could be changed.

You don't say!

Why? I'm not aware of any rules that require build threads to stick to only technical topics. If that was the case, my threads would be sunk, to say nothing of Adam's! :rotfl:

Forum guidelines for "The Driveway"...
"The Driveway" forum is a technical area that allows individuals to share speific details of their truck builds and to solicit advice from others. It also serves as a resource for members who are researching mods for a particular year/model of vehicle.

Please keep the discussions technical in nature and on topic, occasional off-topic posts are acceptable, but excessive post padding is not.

If you are creating a new build thread, please include the year and model as the first part of the Subject, followed by the "nickname" of the build, if desired: (ie.)

'77 K5 - The Iron Maiden Build
'82 K5 - The Diesel Warrior Build
'87 K5 - What's Ryoken Up To Build
'72 K5 - Project POR - Triplesticks, etc
'72 K5 - The "Might As Well" thread

It will be a helpful way to organize the lists and allow people to find builds that are similar to their own vehicle. Maybe automatically add "Tags" to each build so that searches will quickly isolate the specific year/model within the forum -

Thank You

Don't worry about it.

If you delete things, it just makes the threads hard to follow when someone reads through it later on.

Throw caution to the wind! As long as the bad cop don't catch a wiff of that wind you're fine!

And he'll be good right now, cause I have his K5 hostage haha :P

NO DELETING POSTS! You can't unsay words in a real life conversation, and I always treat forums like an in person conversation. Leave em up, if a browsing casual reader can't get through the non-technical crap, they don't deserve to get to the end of the thread.

No it's alright, I can handle it. U-haul is cheap, and the F-150 rental truck they have has the capacity to carry Big Red. If I feel ambitious, I can rent a 1 ton truck for not much more from enterprise.
