Just an FYI as far as I know, and I could be wrong, is that that truck was never built by the factory. It is my understanding that they only offered the straight axle in 91 in SRW Crew Cabs, DRW had the IFS fronts.

I think your mistaken. In the old body style up to 91 they all were straight axles DRW or SRW. When they went to 92 they went to IFS in the crew cabs. No way they would have stopped straight axles under the same chassis just on the duelly for one last year in that body style.
Sucks that it was sold. BUT, watch wherever it was listed. He may have gotten irritated and just said it was sold. There was a weird situation i went through with a bmw, the guy emailed me that it was sold while i was checking on smog history. Showed back up on craigslist, i offered him his asking in cash via email again, and picked it up the next day. Not likely, but stay on your toes.

I just got my 3+3 last month. I will keep an eye out for another one.
I saw one last year in san jose, it was a diesel 88 3+3, it went for less than 2k.
But it was not that clean, but not a rust bucket.
