which I agree with

but thats not my point show me a 91 4x4 dually with a straight axle that was built that way by the factory, that is my point. every 1989 and newer dually that I have ever seen or been showed or looked for has been IFS.

From the '91 brochure -

KidJethro I apologize for the hijack, this discussion should have been in its own thread.

My issue isn't that they didn't make a SRW its that the dually is a IFS

You could get either during the years 88-91. I believe the IFS duallys through 88-91 were cab and chassis or work truck packages though.Lots of 89-91 V3500 duallys around. Thats all I could find when I was looking for a SRW.

There are tons of if ands or buts during the transition years, but I know for a fact they made both 2 and 4 wheel drive dual and single rear wheel old and new body styles through 88-91

I have even seen rarities such as an 88 old body style single cab DRW.

Here is a pic of a 1990 from a broschure. V3500 Crew Cab 4WD.

I also attached a pic showing all the C/K pickups available

true and agree, but I wanted to see if dirtbag was joking or if he was serious

it would keep the thrashing down till we found out and keep people looking at the thread.

Oh people will most certainly be looking at this thread, but I highly doubt it will keep the thrashing down :D

I don't know but this could be proof...

Can Can's old '90 :gasp: 4wd dually

well if he is joking its a bad joke, if he is serious I will be shocked if the truck makes it out of Califirnia

close but its a 1990, which disproves my thought that they stopped in 1989 would be intersting to know though when it was built late 1989 and called a 1990 or in 1990.

The list for tags for this thread is hilarious! :haha: Maybe we should fix the tags in AKjimmywhatevers thread too. :D

So you're not accepting that as proof? :doah:

Which also says it only came with a 4-speed manual trans

I would say the 91 brochure is pretty solid proof. :wink1:

Yes it only lists a 4spd, but at the top it also says Standard specs. The manual was standard equip..the auto is optional :p:

as far as i know the greatpumkin is just joking. was at his house last night and never said a thing about it.im sure he would of if he had actualy bought it esp if he was going to post that he did and was serious.
he isnt the sort of person that would do that sort of thing.
now yellowk20 on the other hand..................................

This is simple. You've never seen a '91 4 door 1 ton IFS truck. '88 and up extended cab 1 tons were ifs. 88-91 crew cab/3+3/4 doors etc were solid axle.

Now take this bullshi!!t to another thread.

I feel soooo ridiculously helpless about this situation. I'm just too far away to make good on anything I say, makes me feel kinda foolish saying anything at all. But I just can't help myself. I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that there are people who could go through with something like that. Joke or not...sometimes, the rules are just unspoken, some things you just shouldn't have to be told NOT to do. :eek1:

Like I said, this cock hole better hope we don't ever meet.

I have a '89 crew cab dually V30 sitting in my driveway that is a solid front axle. All the old square body style trucks were straight front axle, all the time. Even blazers and suburbans stayed SFA until '92 when they changed to the new body style.

Old body style is always SFA, and the burb's, blazers, four door trucks, and some cab/chassis trucks were old body style until the '92 model year. It has nothing to do with being a dually, and everything to do with old or new body style.

:eek1::mad:

That's got to be the biggest douche bag, cock hole bull**** maneuver I've ever seen.

If I were you, I'd hope we never meet.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. Ok, I think I'm already gonna be in trouble no matter what I say but THIS WAS JUST A JOKE MAN. I would NEVER snake a truck underneath someone else like this!!!. I wrote it thinking that its the most IGNORANT and BALLSY statement that ANYONE could make at the present moment, so BAD in fact that I automatically thought that EVERYONE would have to honestly think this was a joke!!!. My buddy actually called me and told me I started Hurricane ****STORM on CK5, so I came inside and got on here to settle the dust before anyone flies into Anchorage and looks me up!. Anyway, Sorry, my apologies, I never thought for a million years that it would illicit such a response!. Jethro man, sorry, I don't know you but I'm a decent guy who loves this Forum, I certainly dont want to make any enemies on here. You guys are great, CK5 is great. Sorry fellas, can ya forgive me??????

Hey

You guys actually thought I would have the BALLZ to post up pics of my Orange Blazer and say I'm from Alaska, and THEN PUBLICLY tell everyone that I Snaked this Crew Cab out from underneath a fellow CK5 MEMEBER?. How Mother****ing stupid would I have to be to do that???. Look, sorry again, it was a bad joke looking back, BUT I HONESTLY thought I'd get a big F*CK YOU right from the get go because it would be Painfully obvious that no one in their right mind would do this AND THEN POST THAT THEY ARE THE ONES WHO BOUGHT THE TRUCK. Sorry if your pissed, it was a joke that I never thought you'd take serious.
