One bank running hot vs other.

Maybe you're hoping to check IR temp of the cat?
It would naturally be hotter but it's an egg/chicken/egg which came first kinda thing. More efficient/conclusive to pull the cats and run it.

I think he meant compare side to side

So small problem with dropping the exhaust. The o2 sensor is part of the exhaust i would be taking off. The Holley sniper is gonna run like ass without it

Turn the learn off in the computer. It’s going to run on the last air fuel settings

Yeah, learn off (if possible) and unplug the O2. It will run off MAP sensor and learned tables.

Don’t unplug it unless you pull it out of the pipe

It will still heat and cycle it just won’t add to the air fuel tables

also holley sniper = SUCKS . . . i had huge problems with the one i had . . and ANY efi unit should be on a single plane intake for best results only garb gets dual plane .

Ha I forgot i could turn the learning off. The sniper system has been... fun to use so far. I've been debating on getting a single plane but the road block of money has been getting in the way.

lets wake up the neighborhood with some open headers!

My neighbors enjoy my wifes Corvette every time she fires it up. Long tube headers and 4" side pipes. :woot:

Did you post what the AFR is showing? Since the O2 is on that side, it should be good. Would mean the other side is rich.

Now I wat to go check my engines, as I have never checked manifold temps.

The afr is matching what the sniper is commanding( i got it set at around 14.5 for idle). I haven't had the chance to swap to the other side to see if that changes anything. Might have to buy a 2nd afr gauge just so i can read it

seen a lot of posts all over saying they got better results on tbi based swap units off single plane .

even more true on port injection as it just flows air then .

Port injection yes, but still technically a throttle body. But I want to see dyno of real world driving. Wide open throttle for any durantion is very rare. A street truck will run better during DD duties with a dual plain.

But this is not his issue. I am going to drive this SBF tomorrow and see what it does.

Maybe @Ramba_ral is pushing on the left side of the noise peddle, more than the right side.:D

I have no more ideas on why the temps would be different, if everything mechanical and parts wise is identicle side to side.

I have some new plugs in it now so ill drive it for a couple hundred miles then read them.

swapping the intake manifold is also tempting. or just yank the engine out and start from scratch

Any chance the coolant is flowing backwards on this?
