I’m looking at 2 engines Tuesday for it
L18 8.1 Vortec and a LBZ Duramax
The 8.1 is a easy drop in and the LBZ is a more complicated build but well worth the work for the rewards of the duramax in that truck

Oh dang...another Crew Cab with an 8.1 swap...I think everyone knows by now how much I love me some 8.1 swaps 
Don't know if you've seen it, but the build thread for my CC is in my signature, I did an 8.1/NV4500 swap into mine.
That's a good snag. I see it's the later version that already has EGR delete, and it already has the workhorse brackets on the front. That this is already setup to be swapped into a square and keep A/C if you want. How many miles are on it? What tranny is going behind it? You should make a new build thread for the CC

I'm assuming that was in a Medium Duty cause the bell housing looks like it has an adapter on it to bolt up something different...also the oil pan looks like a different shape than normal truck version oil pans...

The odometer said 133k but i have records that it was a replacement engine installed in Jan of 2013
It has run on nothing but CNG.
So I will have to replace the injectors and the fuel rail for sure and I am ordering the oil pan for it because I’m pretty sure that bathtub of an oil pan will not fit.
I will start a build thread soon but it’s on the back burner until the Jimmy is done.
So for now I gather parts as I find them and rathole them away for the build.
I will check your build out for sure !

It had a Allison trans behind it but I did not get that because of the mods that have to be done to get it to fit.

Yeah that's what I did. No one wanted my crew cab flatbed truck so rather than lose my ass selling it really cheap I just kept it.
