This is a big week for progress.

For any DFW folks, we’re hosting a friends and family at Manhattan Project Beer on Wednesday 10/29 before dragging this out to the desert.

Link for the tail lights?

AMD has this whole promotion for “more than metal.” They’ve provided about 90% of the trim and interior. I only got odds and ends from LMC and carpet and headliner from rock auto.

Thank you sir!

Coming along nicely and looking great, can’t imagine the pressure to get it all done on time.
The pressure comes in waves. There was a wave in January when we needed to transition from tin work to paint prep; in June when we were in the middle body prep and another just before paint (during Blazer Bash). Right now, we have a week and a half to basically install glass, an interior, paint bumpers, and detail the ever-loving crap out of the truck. I'm only waiting on one part, and that has a plan B.

As long as we make steady daily progress, we're not gonna lose the shop on this one. Honestly, if I was doing this solo without the greater WM&F team, I'd be losing some sleep.

Glass is mostly in. The windshield and seal wouldn’t play nice, so we’re trying something new this morning. Tint is later today.

And the GSI Door Handles arrived just in time. These are some really nice pieces.

I really like the custom functional modifications for the large intercooler.
It’s one of the things I’m most excited about. All that radiator and intercooler is now exposed to airflow.

Unrelated, but there’s room enough to make a slightly thicker intercooler fit (OE is 50mm, and I could cram 75), but finding a 38-3/8x19x3 core is a bit tricky. Might have to piece together multiple builder cores to make it work.

Are you still able to use the factory hood latch? Does the intercooler cause any interference with the hood latch?
I’ve considered a self retracting latch like many SUV’s use for the back hatch. One that pulls itself in tight to the fully closed position.

Looks awesome.

If glass is out, isn’t it easier to tint loose? Or does the tint get messed up during install?
