Opinions on date change for BB13

Wow, you guys need some Masengill?:haha:

Weather forecast shows steadily improving weather right up to the mid 70's by Saturday. Looks like a nice weekend to me. Besides there honestly is nothing more awesome than a good rain in the Desert, watching all of the water falls etc.

The "rain" year was tough but honestly one of those years that you know you will never get to see that kind of rain and desert flash flood action anytime soon.

Lol, we were on steel bender during that storm. It as awesome!

It snowed while running GreenDay today. I'm blaming it for the flop......the line had nothing to do with it. :D

Well, Friday was chilly and overcast, but I thought the weather and temps were fantastic otherwise.

The weather was pretty much awesome the whole week. It got cold on Sunday before the run when it rained, but it warmed back up by Thursday and was pretty much perfect weather.

whats the verdict for next year (date wise)....I got a lot to get done, and wonder how much I need to cram into each day???

All indications point to end of September for 2014. I need to verify with the BLM but it should be okay again.

I truly hope it will be moved back to the beginning of September. I enjoyed the warm weather from the previous years.

Snow and 40 degree nights, no thanks, sorry but that's not what I go to Moab for.

I agree with Mr Perry on this. It was rather freezing cold at night and in the morning heading to the trail and during the day when the snow was falling. Which we had to wait out while leaving BFE.

I am kind of torn because the later start makes it easier for the wife and kids to come.

At first, I was not to happy about the later date. But, I have to admit to enjoying the cooler daytime temperatures. The shorter days and cold mornings were not the best. However, I have wheeled in New Mexico on New Year's Day with 10 degree temps, wind, and snow.

Whatever the date, I will plan to attend :waytogo:
