Also, it's obvious that you have no clue what you're talking about, and you're suggesting that I build my truck a different way as a result.
If you indeed work at an off road shop, I'd certainly hope you get a better clue as to how the different types of differentials work, because, as stated above, a L/S unit is about as useless on the trail as a screen door on a submarine.
I'm all for allowing anyone to spout their opinion at any time, (that's the whole idea of a forum) but you've simply made some statements that don't make any sense at all.
It's like if I were to sit here and talk about fabrication, engineering, or roll cage design. Even though I understand the basic concept, when it comes to the actual work I have NO experience and in about 5 seconds I'd start to sound like a moron. That's why I wouldn't open my mouth in that situation, as an opinion is just about worthless if you haven't got a clue what you're talking about.
As to my front diff choice, if I was changing gears, I would have gone with a detroit. Otherwise, this will work just fine until it fails, and then If I feel the need, I'll put something else in it.
