Looks like a cool idea, I need to figure out storage for my rig and how to build a frame for plywood to camp on the bed of my truck and not on the ground.

If anyone finds info about this area. Feel free to post a link for Scott and I. If you find any groups, clubs or organization of ant kind that travels in this area. Post it up for our review. This thread is an open discussion to help Scott and I plan this trip.
Thanks guys! We're pretty jacked and excited to tackle this

Dates are set. Monday, May 16, 2016 will be the start day and Friday the 20th will be the split up date. ;)
Details will be worked on between now and then. Scott and I will make things official as soon as possible. This is going to planned a an adventure travel, overland style trip. You'll want as much fuel range as possible. You'll want to be able to pack your gear and the dogs the whole way.
For the Pacific Northwest members that will be planning to join in on this trip. You're more than welcome to come as far as my place the weekend before and convoy. I'll give you a heads up though, we will probably roll down Saturday night early Sunday morning do to the little ones. Makes the road time go faster. That being said, if you want to, I have plenty of field for everyone to hold up in.

I need more fuel cans, Mad Max style! Nate, I would be down to come down to springfield on friday night/sat morning and caravan down to NV on sunday. So 5 days in the desert is about two to three gallons per day per person. If people want to split food an what not it would help with each person so there is no over buying and what not. I have two 120 quart coolers I can bring. I need to get on my list!

I love that you're already thinking like this! We'll have to be self sufficient on this one, teamwork will make things a lot easier. Splitting loads and food wouldn't be a bad idea. I hope to have an ARB freezer by then, on a trip like this I imagine it'd be really nice to have. .

I might know a guy who will have quite the reserve fuel capacity available if needed. ;)

Didn't realize you were running a diesel. Your fuel consumption will be different than mine for sure. I have an auxiliary tank that will be installed in one of the trailers but it will hold gas

Im thinking fill up when we leave with my 20 gal tank and bring an extra 20 gallons in the bed of the truck.

The cool thing about a diesel is the ability to find a cheap auxiliary tank. You can plumb a gravity feed with a ball valve to fill it when you need it.

Of the interested parties of this trip. Going or not going at this moment is not important. Answer this question if you're interested at all.
How many have children of some age that will be with them? next question, for those that still are children! ;)
Would you be interested in us making a deal with a hotel for Sunday night that is close to or has family entertainment? Ie; pool, hot tub, parks, arcades, go karts. Something to be a pre party meet and greet kind of thing. I know for my family, we will be traveling saturday night sunday morning dark thirty and staying one night in a hotel.

I don't have kids but if I decide to bring anyone, it'll be Hank, a 5yr old American Pit Bull Terrier.

Scott and I just ran with the idea and the girls kinda have to follow. Scott and I haven't laid the final plan out since we have been focusing on the immediate trips these next couple months.
That being said, the girls will probably agree with us to sponsor this trip and make it the first real go at the idea we have for the direction of Overland Dysfunction.
CK5 will always be our home online and the majority of our trip ideas get bounced off you guys first.
Keep the discussion going everyone. We don't really know how far were taking this concept, but no matter what. We will give it our best effort.
