Parallel Flow Condenser

looks to be the same part number as the Napa one I used. Mine came with new mounting pads. You may have to move one set of pads over to the next hole in the core support to make it fit. I had to on my '86

Very cool, are there any gaps on the drivers side? Is it as long as the stock one? That was the only upset about mine...but at least in that spot the radiator gets direct airflow!

I placed them side by side (old and new) and there was not discernible difference. I did not measure them though.

I am pleased with how the feet fit into the existing stock mounts. Since the mounts came out with the old condenser I am not sure if I had to change the placement but it does use one of the stock mount positions (there are two positions on each side)

hope this helps.

On my "direct replacement" there was a 3 inch difference or so. I did have to use the old mounts but fitting them wasn't a challenge. Take a look:

So it is full-width or does it leave a gap like the picture above? If it is truly parallel flow, the same size as the original giant tube and fin, mounts without mods and has the same fittings on it for $77, that is the mother-lode and we should all be swapping to one when it's time for A/C work.

Sorry I took so long. Here are pic's of my new parallel flow condenser installed...covers the radiator fully

zombie bump...how well does that cool for ya?

Electric fans where a big help to making mine cool so well. The single fan that was on before didn't move enough air to cool when the truck wasn't moving. You could watch the air temps at the vent go up when stopped. Now it doesn't change much when not moving.

cool...pun intended...

Well I am curious how you guys like the results with the spectra condenser.
I see now the the NAPA description says parallel flow now. But what confuses me is when I googled who had that part number, I found some reviews on amazon that seemed contradictory.
I'm thinking about buying one of these for my '90 Jimmy since the compressor is done and I need to work on the system.

I ended up buying the spectra one from @RockAuto . The website doesn't say that it fits, but it has the same interchange number as the ones listed for my '90.
I just got it Saturday, so I haven't installed it yet.
I have to change out the compressor and hadn't ordered an accumulator. Well as quick check locally and I decided to make another order to Rockauto since I had money still in my PayPal anyway.
Oh well.

One one I used was from Napa for a '91 K5.
It is a parallel flow condenser.
