Correct...Well, I didn't mean it's difficult to turn it, but it just seems to want to go straight. Hydro assist makes it easier to steer, but doesn't really help it actually, turn, correct?
This is all coming from my Ely trip. The mountain had 42 switchbacks, and jeeps that had the front end locked always had to do multipoint turns. One guy unlocked his, and it seemed to make a huge difference.
Hydro works good at overcoming the tension fighting against steering with the hubs and sometimes axle locked.
Case in point though, ktmoutfront has no front locker, does have hydro. Unless you start hunting chunky rocks out there in the desert, maybe it's not cost effective for you
Traction > all else.

Don't know how I've missed this thread. Sweet Blazer. I'll be watching.
Maybe leaving the front open will help the 10 bolt live longer too. lol.

Try a powr lok. Can be found in trashtionals. I have one in my D44, works way better than a posi, but it steersI have this same sentiment with my Dana 44, i want to lock it but I have a tendency to mash the skinny pedal a little too often![]()

Not that D44 parts help Phil much...

Knuckles out, yes
Nothing else fits until you get back to leaf springs
