Speedo said:When my wife and I go hunting we usually go out for 3-4 weeks, our camp is close to 100 trail miles from the trailhead. We take 2 days of traveling to get to our camp if we don't have mechanical problems or take too much time fishing along the way. During most hunts we take someone with us but we have gone out by ourselves on several occasions. About 14 years ago I took a 73 year old gentleman, who had lived in upstate New York until his wife died, out to shoot his first moose. Butch is a tough old buzzard and was always the first one up in the morning to get a fire going in the barrel stove and get the coffee started. Here's a picture of Butch and his very first moose.
