This is my favorite build and I was missing it.
Congrats on the boat, and the hood ornaments.

HOOORAY!!! I was starting to loose hope! That boat is pretty ridiculous! Nice job on placing 2nd! THats wild. Cant say i envy your house/work situation but im glad you made it threw! Im excited beyond control to see the progress on the burb! Sucks you had o buy that damn flexplate! Thats crazy expensice for a piece of stamped steel with a ring welded on it...

Do you remember what the "commercial epoxy" is, that you coated your shop floor with? I just built a new shop and would love to have a similar coating.

I want to say that the epoxy itself was American Coatings. I will see if I can find some paperwork on it. It was a true industrial install. One of my best friends has a company that preps the concrete with these big azz 440V machines that fire steel shot into the surface of the concrete and it leaves the most abrasive surface you have ever felt after he finishes. It gives such a pourus surface for the epoxy to adhere too. Its pretty damn tuff. Its not a home depot product.

Check out our new grill. This is mine and my wifes early Xmas present. It is over 60 inches long and 48" tall. I think it is the nicest grill I have ever seen.........even the at the high end shops. I cant wait to put all the burners together and get some steaks rolling!!:woot:

I traded another box that I had $600.00 in for it and it is brand new. Even though it looked like it was 95% assembled...the big box in the middle cooking section still took me over an hour to sort all of it and get the grates and rotisserie and doo dads and grease catches and cups and electronic igniters and all installed. It is by far the nicest piece of cooking equipment I have ever owned. There is one on ebay for $3500.00 I think if you know someone that would want one. I am going to cook on it sometime this week so I will let you know how it does.

Once you have the concrete prepped, is the epoxy something you apply yourself our do you have someone normally come in and do it from start to finish? Is it a national company? Do you remember what it cost per square foot?

My buddy does all the prep work. Then another guy comes in and applies the coating. I got a deal because my buddy didnt charge me anything to blast the floor. It took him longer to unload and load his equipment than it did for him to blast the floor. All I had to pay for was the coating guy. I did about 3,000 sq feet which was about the minimum that most guys that work the industrial / commercial side would do at the time. With the economy being slow....they may do any size now. I would just google your area for commercial epoxy coatings and see what comes up. I want to say that it was about $3500.....but I got the prep for free. I did the house garage too. I really dont remember for sure. ALOT has happened since then. My guy travels all over the country doing it.... but it is for 100,000 sq/ft jobs. How many sq ft is it?

I just opened up this thread on page 5 today and started reading.

Then it dawned on me that I gotta ask what do you do for a living to afford all these nice toys?

This is what I came up with from last nights measurements. I am going to have one of these to cool the Engine oil and one for the Transmission oil. They are plumbed with 1/2"npt so I will be able to go from 1/2"npt to #10 (which is what the engine's oil system is already plumbed in) and have no loss of flow. The fans are thermostatically controlled so they kick on automatically at 175 degrees. The Be Cool radiator has a built in Engine oil cooler.....but I just couldn't get comfortable with it. It is totally rinky dink for something like this. If you are climbing a mountain and going up several thousand feet and towing....the engine oil is being cooled by 200 degree water that is being cooled in the radiator. Same thing if you are idling around trails in 100 degree weather with the AC on and the windows rolled up with a 572 under the hood. This also has the highest GVW rating of any cooler that B&M sells. I like overkill. Plus....if I do put a whipple on this thing later....all my systems are truly built for 1000+hp. Now to get the plumbing list for all this crap put together and on the way and build some aluminum brackets to mount it all on. :)

Ive also got to figure out what power steering cooler I am going to use and where I am going to mount it. As soon as I get this thing running and dialed in....and do my first burnout....hydro assist is going on.

572 is in the Hole!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I didn't know my old cherry picker had the ballz still left in it! It picked up a fully dressed tall deck 572 into a Burb with 9" of lift and 37's!! I don't even know if the new hood is going to clear with the cowl.:D The AC compressor is going to be close clearance as well. Anyway....its in. Now I just need to condense about a month of tranny installation, transfer case, drive shafts, fuel tank, and ALL new plumbing for fuel, oil, electrical and stand alone ECM for the tranny into the rest of this week. I think it has given me a little motivation to finally see it in the truck. Tomorrow, I need to get the headers, tranny and transfer case in to see what kind of clearance I have to run all the new lines. I was going to do it before I put it in....but it has been so long since I started this...that I can't remember exactly where everything falls. I also need to visualize two 3" exhaust pipes all the way to the back as I am laying it all out. Some of my pre-engineering definately paid off. My mechanical fuel pump did clear the way I clocked it and the fittings that I used. plumbing a fuel system with #10 is a little different than the stock stuff as far as the amount of room that it takes up.
