Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

Few more. This is one of this deals that you have to wire up EVERYTHING before you bundle, loom, and secure it or you will be opening up and reworking all of it dozens of times.

Very nice work!

You want to help me wire mine.:haha::haha:

I also need one of those tranny pans.:pimp:
My 4L60E that I got Friday has a hole in it where they drained the fluid out.

Going back over the last 25 years of buiding lifted trucks of all sizes, a smaller wheel also helps when you are rolling down the interstate 70 to 80 mph. The slack created by agressive tires, suspension movement etc, is alot less magnafied with a smaller wheel. I know it sounds dumb but it is actually easier to drive with a smaller wheel to me.

I've been waiting to hear that. Now I think I'll go down and buy me a Grant wheel. I really like that one you've got. Is it a 14" diameter? :dunno:

You've got one of the best builds on this site dude. Keep it up. I pray that your wife gets healthy too.

Thanks brother, my wife is still having some hard days. The wheel is either 13.5 or 14. It was 2" smaller than my stock wheel whatever that was.

I had that same steering wheel in my blazer. Took it out after a year. It was too small, didn't feel right, and didn't have that nice elbow to window ledge ratio. They do look good though

Its ALIVE!!! I got it running tonight. I shot a video about a min long but it is too big to email. I will try to load it up on youtube tomorrow! It sounds crisp!:waytogo:

I keep getting an error code while I am uploading the video to YouTube for some reason. Dam smart phone. If I can figure out how to get it from the phone to the laptop maybe I can upload it that way. It sounds mean!

That's how I do it.

Congrats on getting it running! Hearing a 572 powered burb run for the first time has got to be pretty exciting!

I use a Photobucket app on my (not so) smart phone, very easy to upload pics & video.

Dang man, I'm all chubbed up now!

That was at midnight last night and I am fired up! I am chasing one wire that I haven't located yet (4WD) to hook up to an led and the dash is ready to go in. All the gauge wiring is complete. I also got a new head unit to go with the rest of the motife with red lighting to match the gauges. I got it all wired up and installed.

Next time I fire it up, I need adjust the fuel pressure down. It's at 9psi at idle and I like about 7psi. I had opened it all the way up on the dyno because I was running out of pump. I also need to adjust the floats. They are off since the motor is leaning back in the truck. I adjusted those on a level dyno cart as well.

I am really pumped now. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still lots to do. Build all the exhaust, tune the transmissoin. Fine tune the engine in the truck with the wideband O2 sensor....etc...etc. But it is getting to where it wont be long and it will be fun stuff!:D I am going to fuk my driveway up!

Sounds like a top fuel dragster or something when it's idling. :thumb: Didn't you say it was going to run on regular 87 octane?
